Yeah no. I work. My wife stays home with the kid. Maybe I earned the money, but it’s OUR money. I would never spend $4000 without talking to her about it first. We’re married. We make these decisions together. Communication is key. I’m not saying he was wrong to spend the money. I’m saying he was wrong to do it without talking to her first.

Here’s what I’ve heard so far: “an embryo isn’t a human life.” “I don’t care if you think an embryo is a human life.” “I refuse to acknowledge that other people might have different views and valid points.” And now we’re at “You’re a man, so your opinion doesn’t count.” All I said is that IF you think a fetus or embryo or whatever is a human life, THEN it makes sense to oppose abortion. But even acknowledging that is somehow impossible for you.

It’s not that simple. Say what you like, but if there’s a human life being ended, that trumps the woman’s right to “do what she wants with her body.” Refusing to acknowledge that means you don’t really understand the other side of the argument.
