This was definitely not sexual assault. Shirt-tearing and face-grabbing are quite normal for physical assaults, unless you want to claim that when boys fight at school and someone gets his shirt torn this is gay sexual assault.

Lose out on space? I wouldn't say so. A changing station still takes up space, even if it's in the same room; also, if it's in separate unisex room, only one needs to be added (assuming only one is needed), not one for each restroom.

Taking husband's surname is anyway just a historical remnant from the time when there was actual patriarchy - the oldest male was the boss of the family, and women married into families. Talking about surnames and parental lines, I think it would be most fair if boys take father's surname, while girls take mother's surname. This would also be biologically correct, as boys inherit and pass on father's Y chromosome, while girls pass on mother's mitochondrial DNA.

Well, honestly, it looks like most of those "people on the bus" are friends of the woman here, and they're just as drunk. At least someone with little common sense and dignity turns up at the end. Though, if the situation was reversed, there would most likely be major public outrage and feminist marches protesting against the paedophillic patriarchy.

Nah, I'd just say that modern western society promotes sociopathy. Our relations with other people are less and less personal. We deal with people everyday that we might never see again. Our neighbours aren't people we might do stuff together, they're just people we see everyday that happen to live nearby. Being really close friends is rare. So, in general, we actually live in a world where sociopaths are in huge advantage.

You are affected, but I still think that you're too young. Hell, I'm 19 and I still feel that I'm a bit too young - I mostly just lurk this sub to get more familiar with the issues. I advise you not to take it too seriously, before you do something you may regret later on. Remember that you're still growing up. However, following the movement (but not actively supporting) might be a good idea for now.

You're right. The main problem with the law is that there is so much semantics involved. But in this case, it seems that it is the same on paper - the maximum sentence is the same. Also, even if both ways were described as rape, there would still be less social stigma for (alleged) women rapists - the reason being that society doesn't take female-on-male rape as seriously as the other way around, regardless of the laws.

Present legislation stipulates the crime of rape applies only when men force sex. In contrast, women who force an unwilling partner to have sex face charges of sexual violation. I'm the guy who posted this to reddit in first place. (linky link) I'd like to warn you that even though 4chan is full of dickheads doing everything "for teh lulz", there have been good causes that started as trolling on 4chan. Remember Anonymous and their raids on Scientology. They started it, but it's up to us if we ride the wave and try accomplish something or just sit and watch this in disdain.
