I remember reading his book a while ago now and thought it was good. Not excellent or life changing or particularly revolutionary. But good. Don’t really know what he was up to irl but I only have to assume that the topics he’s gotten into since and in interviews are what makes people mad because the book was really just..another harmless self help book?

Bro what. Its not that deep. If you want more sex have more sex, if you're getting enough sex keep focusing on the other shit that matters to you. There's no math necessary

Yeah, from high school through college I just knew the “type” pretty early on after one of my high school professors not only graded me poorly but tried to call me out during class for writing something she didn’t like.To be fair I was a lazy high schooler and it was probably a B quality paper in the end but she absolutely HATED it. Since then Id either write some sappy bullshit they suck up (If I want the guaranteed A) or write something entirely neutral to their political leanings.

Bro all the other stuff is a bad enough girlfriend but she told you getting raped DOESNT COUNT? She’s fucking crazy and has zero empathy, that’s horribly messed up and you deserve far far better

There’s some kind of mental phenomenon where if you plan something at night, your body rewards you for it, and then when you wake up the next day you will have less motivation. Any kind of fluffing yourself up as an “alpha” is gonna have similar downsides. It is much better to just always strive to be more (masculine/fit/intelligent/well groomed/interesting/etc etc etc)

You’re literally working out wrong then. Occasional deloading (where you swap to light cardio/stretching, or literally do nothing) every few months for usually 1-2 weeks accelerates strength, muscle, or endurance gains. Marathon runners do it, bodybuilders do it, it works. The main thing that’s different is like you said you ate like crap, that’s not helpful for anyone

This sub sounds over sensitive but keep in mind that many of us are totally functional in our daily lives.. I see that a post is from men's rights and I probably think about things that I don't necessarily have on my mind 24/7

Men or women, wanting to keep and raise a child with a disability or being overwhelmed by the thought, that just sounds like a shitty marriage. You should know these things about each before you get married

Yeah I don't like to shit on other people and I'm not calling my girlfriend dumb by any means, but as a stem major my classes may as well be chinese to her, while I could passably do pretty much any psychology project she's ever worked on and could get the same exam scores if I studied as long as her. Different skillsets to be sure since I wouldn't enjoy what shes doing, but the point is there is a noticeable discrepancy in difficulty.

College doesn't exactly mean educated..If a girl is getting an all expenses paid vacation of drinking 4 nights a week and endless dick culminating with a degree in bullshit then yeah. If she's going to school to learn something useful and/or educated in the sense that she's got some self respect, some financial responsibility, and some reasonable aspirations then I think his point stands.

What does that even mean? I don't live in a major city but i've been through them and taken public transport plenty of times in plenty of situations. Being uncomfortable with any sort of interaction is gonna preclude you from being perfectly content on public transport..

Perception is reality for most people. So if drinking straight whiskey, eating red meat, chopping wood, or doing bicep curls make you feel manly chances are they will make you actually "more manly" (more test.).

Biological response, basically. I just googled oxytocin and sex and I think this is a decent place to start. Im no expert at any of it but it comes down to biology and hormones and theres plenty more research to read out there.

My grandpa told me he'll never care what my grades are-that my goal for college should be to get in, get out, and get a job. Emphasis on connections being more important with the degree being an entrance ticket. Do you have a source for the 40 minute interruptions specifically? Google gave me a bunch of stuff that will probably mention but none were focused on it. Great write up.

I got called sexist one day for being surprised a girl, who was friends with a group of girls, was not with them during gym class (standing on the side not participating) I expressed the surprise and I (probably like 12?) was told I am sexist for thinking girls can't participate in physical activities. If it had been the same situation with the fat guy it would've been funny, but nooo I was an evil mysoginist 12 year old. Can't make this shit up.

I know what the sub is about, it is sexual in nature, and like always on reddit, one view overpowers others (plate and get bitches, lift and get laid) it's not wrong, but it doesn't mean that the info on the sub isn't used in "better" ways. Although who is anyone to say PUA'S or red pill guys are inherently bad at all

yeah but just because it's what everyone talks about doesn't mean thats what everyone gets from it. I mean, it has like over 100k people on it, and i don't think all of them are womanizers. That means those other few are likely getting advice that they aren't using to be dicks but to be better people.

And the fact is that if someone understands that, they can probably get away with banging 4 chicks a week (and yes, ruining all those women's days while later when they don't call). Doesn't make it the fault of the information.

To me this seems less about men's rights and more about the wimp/don't work for anything/whine/get whatever you want culture that seems to be the prevailing attitude. Since when is giving into a child's demands being a good parent? How is enforcing a healthy diet being a bad parent? The way I see it, even if the genders were reversed there would be some kind of backlash at "mom tries to starve son, dad sets her straight" when in reality not taking the kid to McDonald's is the right choice for a …

women were seven times more likely to fear for their lives during these abusive encounters I don't have a statistic for it...but I'm pretty sure women are not 7 times more likely to be die from spousal abuse, because that statistic would be everywhere if they were. I'm pretty sure the idea of PUA is if you want to get laid, this is the way to go about it. That's the opposite of entitlement, it's hard work. If someone feels entitled to sex, they're obviously not on the same wavelength as the average person.

not saying they're bad people just pieces of shit Okay bud. I care what you're saying because it's unfounded and for no good reason. I used the government example to talk about sexism because sexism isn't really a thing when it's not an institutional or legal pattern of unfairness. Youre not using sexism in an accurate way. The whole sub is about getting laid with an average woman, so stereotyping fits their goal. They are not harming a single person. It's not sexism when no one is being hurt. Y…

I really had a hard time following the video...the camera guy and others were laughing about it and making jokes while she was raped off-camera? Is that what happened? That is absolutely digesting, and I agree her drinking shouldn't be the first thing you think about. It wasn't for me, my first thought was 1. Okay, the thing about the sticky post is absolutely correct. It's a little disgusting, and the actual content generalizes women harshly, but who cares? They're not the government, they're dudes trying to get laid who play to the biggest population of women they can find. The other hot posts I have literally no idea what you're talking about. You know what, normally I ignore red-pill hate because people don't listen and jump to judgements, and then I'm labeled a misogynist and objectifier of women. Nowhere does anyone from TRP think they are entitled to getting laid, nor do they have more pride than reason. The posts about "getting pussy" are not about that so much (though people like to brag, yes) but about the fact that if you want to get laid, you should work out and follow some basic principles, it helps and works. What bothers me is the part where she said I brought up a women-centric issue... he said “Well, she shouldn’t have been drinking so much.” She says she chalked it up to him just being a guy and the influence of the world's victim blaming. It's ridiculous because she doesn't even consider it a part of the conversation. In what world are we not allowed to mention all aspects of something? My bad, I didn't make the distinction, you're absolutely correct that the intelligent guys are important. However, I think my meaning still stands, because society for some reason only really cares about or appreciates the top 20% of many in any given talent/ability/contribution etc. My point is if you don't have real value in something, you don't really get partial credit from society. The ugliest dude and the average guys are treated a lot more similarly than the best looking dude.

No, that is self-defense+physical retaliation, you can defend yourself in other ways. Dude it's not that hard, I'm not saying I or anyone would or should stand there and get beat on just that if you can, avoiding physically engaging/attacking the offender is the better option.

Not disagreeing with your views on their right as a victim, but I don't think physical retaliation applies. Legally, idk wtf should go down, both people ending up in jail seems silly and idk how it would be worded. But in principle, morally, physical retaliation isn't the right answer.

There are many women out there who are also crippled by social anxieties who would prefer to hide in their hobbies and interests. The difference is a) they can’t blame the entire opposite sex instead of themselves for their mental health issues and b) when they actually try to turn those interests and hobbies into professions, they are told by various social forces, both explicitly and implicitly, that their femaleness means they will always be second-rate at best. Does it speak to the fact that iq tests mean nothing, those people in Africa have been fighting poverty and lacking education their entire lives, and that people of African descent exist in the USA and clearly didn't bring down their average versus places with smaller African-descended populations?

So a possibility, the way it sounds to me, is she finally decided to come out with whatever it was that happened, when someone decided they should instead rework her traumatic story into a sensational news story. That would be why it had all of those key details to confirm stereotypes (A frat, mysterious practices, people not wanting to go the police, university hiding it, etc.) of "rape culture".

When men are imprisoned there is often a network of women – mothers, girlfriends, wives – who are caring for their children, paying the bills, and keeping their lives going so that they can more easily slip back into their family life when they are released. When women come out of prison they need support to rebuild their lives. Goddamn bullshit straight through. God this is exactly how it was for me. My mom, bless her soul, spent so much of her time urging me to do my work. My dad said fuck it, do the bare minimum and get A's on the test and in the class overall and I'll be happy. I did like 20% of the work the average kid did. I don't understand how some kids just as intelligent as me thought it was worth it to spend ten hours writing a paper that really only takes an hour maybe 2 just to get a 98 instead of a 95.

The other thing that bothers me is that it's all in the name of preserving a good place for learning, but most kids come out of high school having learned jack shit anyways. Sure, the top few kids have some real applicable skills in sciences, writing, math, etc. and they use them when they go to college. Yes, some kids learn time management and other relatively important stuff. But by and far the things teachers spout, and punish kids for "interrupting" is rehashed shit year after year. I learne…

Right from the rape-culture wikepedia article the bot linked below: denial of widespread rape is apparently a part of rape culture. Thats so ridiculous I can't even handle it. There's two options: A. Personally, I think the only time that said "knee-jerk" reactions are okay is for terrorist threats. That's one place where we kind of put aside logic and say okay, the risk is of something extremely bad, so we'll take the punishment. It's the way the TSA is something we now have to deal with in airports just because the risk of attacks is such a bad thing. The problem is that attitude is wrong. Students are harmed in their pursuit of education because it shows that a girl crying "rape!" can get them suspended from whatever sports/greek life/extracurricular activities they are in without any evidence, investigation, or warning. It sets a bad precedent for allowing knee-jerk reactions rather than a levelheaded approach, yes, even for sensitive topics like rape and sexual assault.
