Because they're a stupid concept that is pretty insulting to people who legitimately suffer triggers. The word "trigger" is a terrible choice that immediately sets me against it. I do not think it means what you think it means Because we don't have the faintest clue how to make somebody stop being trans and trying just tends to make them even more likely to kill themselves. If there were a pill you could take that made it go away the vast majority of trans people would take them; but no such thing exists. The only option that presently exists is physical transition.
