I mean a confession isn't going to un-murder someone. A confession of false rape claim will at least help clear someone's name. Sure it won't fix things but it sure as shit would help, particularly if it's early on.

Just to play devil's advocate here: Would this not prevent women from coming forward and admitting they lied? Obviously it sucks when they do this, but right now if they do falsely accuse someone, their is at list the tiniest bit of hope they'll come out and admit they lied later. This would absolutely kill that. If you've gotten away with murder, any confess?
