People are attracted to TRP for personal reasons, you can't externally force it on anyone. But society (The media, public conversations etc) is not willing to judge someone accused of rape as innocent until proven guilty - the guilt of the accused is usually presumed. And even if the accused is found to be innocent in court, the false accusation oftentimes affects him more negatively than anything he was accused of.
