Usually. Also check out local community centres with weight rooms. You can often get very good deals since we're not in operation for profit. Something I found useful to get myself out of my own head and into the world again was volunteering. Anything from cleaning, kitchen duties, helping organizing events, lawn work for old people or tutoring.

I've done some volunteering since then in a few community centres that help people who are down and out. Sure, there are a lot of parasites, bums and f*** ups, that's the nature of the field, but there are enough good people who just need a hand up to make it worth it.

I was in a tough spot for a couple of years. I'm older and this is years ago but I had to stay in shelters and use food banks and Community meals4 time. You wouldn't believe how many just regular guys are in the same situation. It's not always drugs and mental illness. I'm at more than a few that had been screwed over in divorce had lost their jobs and the process and I ended up stuck there. What a great story. And I have no doubt that it's real. Just guys being guys.

You might be interested in Reading about the stoics. They were philosophers in the ancient Greek and Roman times who had a very similar outlook on life. There are very good books out there on it that are very accessible. Some good websites and even subreddits are around.

I'm older and I've met a few exceptions but by far the general case is women have no clue what leadership is. They use the word respect with zero understanding that respect is earned that's not demanded. The OP needs to get out of there as soon as possible.

Ha. I see a personal trainer once a week to keep my Fitness on track. She works out of a private gym so there's only one or two of us using it at any time. There was a woman that came in when my session finished and I chatted a bit with her. I mentioned how nice though small private gym is. She made a point of saying how much safer she feels there compared to a regular gym. I didn't go into it to try to understand. It's not worth the time. And yeah, she was a land whale.

I'm an engineer in my 50s and have worked in biomedical R&D in both industry and Academia. When you're just starting out get some good work experience and good references from your work coop Summers or whatever time you have off. Scholarships look really good as well. What's funny in a sad way is that women like this were very often tell you straight up at the beginning of the relationship that they're crazy or have gotten in violent arguments with past partners. Note that they can also block you by your IP address. So if you get a particularly Petty or vindictive moderator like women mostly are then they will go after you that way. Using a VPN or just resetting your modem router so a new random IP address will be assigned to you can fix it. I got on one moderators s*** list and she actively chased me around to ban me over and over again. Women.

I used to volunteer as a tutor for continuing education students. I was pretty good at it and I enjoyed it and it was nice to help young people to get a good restart in life. But the community centre that the tutoring was based out of was completely sjw oriented. Just from the posters up on the wall and most of the staff for women. I've noticed that if there is some kind of drama or Strife going on in a group it's usually been instigated and fed by a woman or a group of women. Always. You give a woman just a little bit of power and they have absolutely no idea what to do with it. If there are no issues they'll use their position to create problems.
