I know I'm an older dude but chest tats are a TOTAL turn off for me. It just smacks of trashy.

Here's one of our favorites using 1-2 chicken breasts and broccoli (can also use other veggies and/or cut potatoes): Ingredients 1-2 boneless chicken breasts without skin Assorted veggies to fill your cooking dish, cut into 1 inch pieces ½ teaspoon dried parsley (I leave this out most times) ½ teaspoon dried dill ½ teaspoon dried chives ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon onion powder ½ teaspoon sea salt pinch of black pepper Instructions Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Add the chicken and veggie…

IMO you are better letting that relationship with your friend go. If for no other reason you won't be able to totally break the ties with your ex as long as you and they are both friends with the same person.

This is always worth repeating as it rings true.

Its all about...instagram photos (status) Agreed, and sorry to truncate your post. Men tend to do things to impress themselves (achievement) and, of course, women. Women, on the other hand, tend to do things to impress/outshine other women (crabs in a bucket).

even if the woman you're seeing seems ok, there is at the very least some latent damage that won't bubble up until later This isn't something I've noticed in the comments too often and I've seen it first hand.

Was thinking the same. Maybe she considers these to be her most positive attributes.

Being that she’s in a competitive engineering program, she has access to masses of similarly aged, single and childless guys. We already know she won’t give any of them a chance. This is the crux of the matter.

Made me think of the stories about Buy Here, Pay Here car lots where a car gets 'sold' then after a transactional failure is back on the lot at full price again, and again...

My first thought.

What I was thinking is more insidious. She goes on a date with this dude (who she later refuses to have sex with) and 45 minutes after the date she runs off to her FWB, who she's been fucking for a year at this point, to suck him off to relief her depression. IOW fucks over the 'good guy' she has a chance with out of the gate then wonders what's up when he finds out 3 months later. I see what you're saying though as she is rambling and not clear.

This is good stuff. I wanted to say in my last response what helpful and meaningful content this sub has been sharing, both posts and comments. This mindset makes so much sense.

I gathered she had her FWB for a year and "being in a dark place lol" sucked off her FWB 45 minutes after meeting this new guy who she then went on to withhold sex from for 3 months. Is that what you were saying?

Now that you mention the name, yeah. But I was really referring to your statement. I was thinking that like your mechanic analogy how after a 'hard' day of 'working' men for a living this chick would not likely have much interest in doing her part for her man in a relationship.

For me it would depend on his continued actions regarding the relationship. If it was a pump and dump and that's the end of it, well it has been 6 months. If he's starting a relationship with her that's not cool and starts a triangle situation with the 3 of you.

I had to make a choice like this with my dad, but for completely different reasons. I was independent and went on my own and put the emotions to the side. There's something to be said of making your own choice, independently from those you have loved and trusted your whole life. It's scary but also thrilling and empowering when the choice involves something you feel in your heart is right. If you got with this guy and things DID work out the way you expect, there's a good chance your parents wil…

It seems your parent's don't respect you and are more interested in control than compassion. I would have a problem choosing to be around those kinds of people, especially to the possible detriment to my future happiness.

I had this whole explanation written out with example after example of observing this behavior in the workplace but it comes down to this: You need to leave. The situation will not get better, and over time it will hurt you inside if you stay.

Given your description of the events you are not wrong, except to stay with him now given his behavior.

Those and the brushed up eyebrows womens seem to like nowadays are so gross to me. They look like original Star Trek Romulans and IMO it's as bad as a unibrow. I'm an old man I guess.

Over and over we see these posts where under-30yo wymens have 2-3 (or more kids) and single, and now looking for salvation with the wall coming into view. Serious question: why aren't these wymen on birth control? Do they actually want to have these kids? Especially after 2 or 3. If you're wanting to ride the CC/snag that Chad, doesn't having offspring get in the way?

At the very least his sons will have been exposed to his wisdom is this regard which will allow them to temper anything they hear to the adverse moving forward. Something my father was not around, nor equipped, to do.

Joined this sub a couple of weeks ago and wish all this kind of info had been available to me 30 years ago. I have stories I'd like to tell but I am wanting to learn more first. Ok, all that being said and hoping not to be too redundant but...she looks, sounds, and seemingly acts like a skank bitch. I guess her empowerment allows her to be abrasive and offensive yet she wonders why she is a repellant to a man willing to offer himself to a woman he wants to take care of, and care about.

Sex doesn't buy a woman a relationship anymore than dinner buys a man sex. We both take our chances. Outstanding comment.

I would really like to hear your thoughts with regard to that part about marrying an autistic guy as one of her options. It kinds rings home a bit.

"That's what dads specialize in. Traditionally, dad is the family prosecutor, and mom the intercessor/advocate for the children. She moderates his punishments (at least from the kids' point of view, even if she agrees fully with what he's bringing down on them) and he provides the much needed, steely muscle to back up the threat of punishment." This x1000.
