Exactly. I remember vaguely reading an article on Afghanistan's educational advancements before the war. But what I meant by not wanting 3rd world countries becoming western is mainly referring to women and how their role in society. Its uncommon for a woman to talk back to her husband in some parts of Africa for example. However, women can abuse men and easily get away with it here easily.

my degree will be in philosophy/religion. I'm only picking it because I'm bad at STEM and I don't like humanities like English and History.
