Say that to the architects who have been jailed / lost their license over that. There was a really famous catwalk collapse about 30 years ago. (Can’t remember the name.) The contractor wanted to change the design of the support rods to save some money. The architect said it was good as long as the engineer oks it. The engineer not realizing that this change adds a new dynamic to the load calculations approved it. Catwalk collapsed and killed 14 people. It was deemed that the contractor had built…

Idk, I would love to see that quote. However we should remember, architects learn the formulas for calculating how much a truce can take, but hardly ever use them. They relay on their engineers heavily for this. Would you want someone doing your structural support load calculations to be someone who does it at most 3-4 times a year, or someone who does it for a living? What probably happened was, A: Here engineer, this is my masterpiece. Figure out the structure. E: A-C doesn’t work change it. D…

I’m a democrat (well a constitutionalist liberal), and I would never consider what that women did to be except-able. Individuals needs to be held accountable for what they did wrong. Feminists need to understand that both genders need equality. It’s not an argument if your a democrat or a republican, equality should be a stance for both parties. What I’m seeing in the political sphere right now is that both parties have entered their own extremism version of themselves. The feminazis and what no…

I’d probably just walk up to the manager and say “excuse me mam, I need the discrimination / sexism taken off my bill please.” After their replay with some form of male privilege or sexism towards women. I’d just say “So your fighting sexism with sexism, sounds like your really trying to improve the world. Now common we are all humans here, who cares what gender anyone is, please remove the discrimination.” If they continue the argument, I’d just end it with “well I identify as a woman. Please s…

I love how the guy asked for a source after the OP said he worked at a hotel and has experience having housekeepers witness this. Just completely cracked me up.

I would picket the very next day if this had happened at my university. I would do it alone if I had too.

It means she may have consent that night, but in the following morning if offered sex again, she has the right to not consent to the new offer.

“However, Pacyga was found guilty of producing child sexually abusive material. That charge normally has a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, but Pacyga's habitual offender status bumps that up to 30 years.” If she’s done this before then why was she allowed the chance to do this again 😡

You bring up a point here that actually needs to be looked at and that’s your career. When I’m hiring someone that has years of experience, I don’t want to see that they have been job hoping from place to place, I prefer to see someone who has been at a company 3-5 years before accepting a new position elsewhere. Likewise I worked 4 years at a company where I was emotionally abused every day. It was a living hell. I now work at a company that treats me with respect and I absolutely love it. If m…

It’s not that interesting really. I am an architect, most of my good friends are architects, I work with architects, I just need some flavor in my life.

I have three rules, don’t date architects, don’t date customers and don’t date co-workers. Be careful, imagine if you did start going out with her, things get hot and heavy, 6 months later you guys split. Think of the work dynamics at this point. To me, it’s not worth it.

3k is not high. I’ve put in a little over 2 years in acquiring 10k and their are days where I don’t bother even logging into the app. I know individuals who have over 100k and have been on the app for close to 5 years.
