100% agree...different doesn't necessarily mean worse. Things change. I always see people say adapt or die, adapt or die...but then they don't think that applies to their role in relationships. I think you are making a good point...and its something to discuss in the purple pill community.

I'm not sure I agree with the "women are more important" part but adaptation is necessary. Keeping with the analogy of my favorite sport...long term success requires a cohesive team. Some days the woman needs to get 30 points...but whose giving them the assists? Somedays the man needs to get all those rebounds cause the womans shots not going down...or vice versa. That's like I've never prescribed to housewives being unimportant or meaningless. Child rearing is hard work. If the point of marriag…

So...what you're saying is human beings need to adapt to their environments? That's always been the issue right? Are men adapting to our modern society. It's not enough for a man to marry a woman with a FT job and think he's still going to be able to work an FT job and maybe do some outdoors work and occasional Mr. Fix It work. A man needs to be prepared to partake in taking care of the children, cooking and cleaning, etc. The women I have met want a man...but there in a position to demand a bit…

It's who they are told to appreciate. For free thinkers...there's not a lot of free thinking. There are countries where a juicy woman is a sign of prosperity and wealth...of not only child bearing but an ability to nurture and care for both husband and child. Countries like Uganda, Samoa and S. Africa appreciate the beauty, soft curvaceous features, warmth and snuggability of a woman with a little weight. It's funny that Western culture became obsessed with the skinny Minnie...but even Western c…

I have no idea what this means, especially as it pertains to this article or anything that I said.

The article says right there 'divorces are concentrated in more “gender-traditional” couples, than gender-equal couples.'...which is my point. Imagine how difficult it would be to be in a high level position, work your ass off, come home cook, clean and put the kids down...maybe hubby reads a book...maybe does dishes...u can see why a woman might say why am I in this unequal partnership.

Yea...I think that is the point of the article. That emphasis shouldn't be so much on work-life and how much someone is making, and more what they contribute to the family. At times I have made way less than my wife...and even more importantly she has had career success that I myself was also striving for but hadn't found. I also could careless...because I like what i do, and was happy for her. Her success IS my success and visa versa

I mean...u just kinda picked a part the article and ignored the parts that you didn't want to hear. It's pretty clearly stated that as a society we need to rethink masculinity. This work is already being done isn't it? There are plenty of people marrying today that see eachother as partners and equals and balance home life and work life.

"The Era of Men"...? What are you talking about? You just made that up. Are you referring to the Greek "Five Ages of Man"? You do realize your definition of "patriarchy" and for that matter "man" is defined by Western (White-male European standards)? When you stop applying Ethnocentrism to your worldview you realize that why yes, men have a place and a defined role in all societies, it is clearly not the same from culture to culture. What you should be asking yourself is: "When do you think the …

From a logic standpoint, do you honestly believe that the vast majority of struggling single mothers are the result of a man cheating and abandoning the woman, as opposed to unmarried younger people being irresponsible? Go back and read what I said...I said "may", simply to point out that your situation "may" not always have anything to do with your own personal choice, but another's. I'm challenging you to set your bias against women aside, and not think in absolutes here. What is your rational…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 01:46 PM

Do you have any data for that? If not then of course this is your opinion. I will continue to believe that BOTH men and women who have children out of wedlock are irresponsible and I will maintain that men who do not care for their children are not only irresponsible but immoral and are more of a leech on society than single mothers. Side note...though i don't advocate for single parent homes, parents who equally care and love for their children are not the problem here.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/22 08:42 PM

You brought up single mothers as a bias against women. If you look at my original response here...I'm point out to the OP that in the referenced data it answers the question as to why women make less over a lifetime. I'm not sure what poor choices have to do with women who's husband may have cheated on them, leading to divorce, or women who are taking care of the elderly parents when the male sibling won't (my family has several examples of this) Everything about humans is about choices...but as…

There's a difference between being a single mother, and being a single mother to a child whose biological father refuses to participate in the rearing and expense of that child. I'm sorry...under no circumstances can I imagine deadbeat dads...blameless.

I mean the obvious answer is right there in the article you shared...women "hold more responsibility" than men. Single mothers and/or caring for elderly parents. Many of the single women I know are single mothers or taking care of their parents, even if they had a male sibling. This is pretty constant world wide too...men are much more likely to shirk their familial responsibilities in pursuit of personal and selfish endeavors.

Trust me mane...I've never had a problem putting a smile on anyone's face and why would i take a dinner date to a chain? Chains are cool for happy hour and endless apps...that's like that 3 month date u take her on to celebrate her finally removing that chastity belt.

Absolutely, would date FDS if I were back out here on my grind. I found my partner before all of the labels and tribes within a tribe, but they might have subscribed to that silly sh-t. Fact is all that junk goes out the window when u meet the right person and you won't meet the right person if you're not willing to give someone a chance. I'm not even sure how u would even know the person was FDS.

Bit of a clown are we...? Both articles link to multiple studies...those blue words are called "hyperlinks" and will take you to additional information i.e. studies. It was easier for me to find and post an article that summarized findings than the studies, plus one study was in japanese. If you really are that interested...you would read the articles and be prompted to read and understand more instead of replying with shit responses.

Everyone is focused on the addiction aspect here, but studies of frequent viewers of porn have shown it can have an impact on what we think sex is, how to treat partners during sex, and how we perform sex? https://theconversation.com/pornography-has-deeply-troubling-effects-on-young-people-but-there-are-ways-we-can-minimise-the-harm-127319 I would add further...and there is evidence in Japan of this...pornography has reshaped society in that it has filled the natural urge to find partners, have …

"Having sex everyday with your partner is the same as masturbating everyday." Explain why you would think this. It's not true...but I'm just curious how someone would come to an idea like this.

Nah...prefer older women. They are more beautiful and confident in who they are.
