Shared this when it was posted a few days ago - Military aged men are 25 - 60 due to manpower shortages. This pretty much only covers the very young and disabled for men.

Fighting age men in Ukraine is already 25 - 60. They've had to raise the age as the war drags on. So this might as well be all men.

They've already changed it to women and girls. Boys and elderly men be damned.

Most statistics I've seen for men vs women have multiple confounding factors that introduce heavy gender bias beyond any level of racial bias in similar statistics. Somehow, it's also fair to ignore biased racial statistics but not heavily biased gender statistics. e.g. Men are 99% of rape, but due to the definition of rape only men are even capable of committing the crime. Men commit the majority of domestic violence, but those statistics are based on criminal convictions under the duluth model…

There's plenty of data around sociopaths that show this type of systemic indifference compounds trauma and leads to their condition. There's also data around the women are wonderful effect and social conditioning from a female perspective. What you won't find is in-depth literature from the male perspective much less any that point men in a positive light. There isn't a men's studies degree, men are being more or less removed from higher education, and there aren't any grants/funding for studyin…

The study doesn't control for a very important fact either - women are getting significantly more matches than men. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual incident rate of abuse is higher for men than women if there are comparable percentages of victims.

Female Murder Victims and Victim-Offender Relationship, 2021: The percentage of females murdered by an intimate partner was 5 times higher than for males The actual data says what the OP article says - 1,690 women murdered by intimate partners and 1,078 men murdered by intimate partners. The reason the percentage difference is so high is because men are murdered at astronomical rates in comparison. The overall female murder rate (4,970) is about 1/4 of the overall male murder rate (17,970). Figu…

The "one woman making claims" is citing US Department of Justice statistics. Statistics that if you read the report are where the "women 5x as often as men by partners" statistic because they misrepresent the data by using the percentage instead of the actual number.

IIRC more men are murdered by intimate partners than women too. It's just that the percentage of women murdered by intimate partners is higher for women than men. The reason the percentage is higher for women is because men are murdered by strangers astronomically more than women are. Like 10-15x more.

There are over 20,000 videos uploaded to Motherless with the "sleep" content. Those 20,000+ videos have hundreds of thousands of views. Views that we don't know the gender of who was watching them. Women view a shocking amount of violent/rape porn. This is not a small sub circle of 1,000 evil men. Only that's exactly what it is. The chat room that everyone is in an uproar about had around 1,000 men in it. The much larger number that is being circulated (62 Million) is the amount of page views in a month for a porn site.

Epidemic of 1,000 mean out of 4 Billion? That's not taking into account that statistics don't support your point. Raping anyone is abhorrent. Recording and posting it to the internet is next level depravity. Refusing to talk about it beyond knee jerking that men as a whole are abhorrent isn't going to resolve that behavior. It'll do the opposite.

Epstein Exposed is the easiest site I've found to dig into some of these documents. I didn't keep specific links or build a dossier. A few that come to mind are the meeting with the founder of 4chan that led to the creation of /pol/ - the same /pol/ that spawned the libertarian movement, tea party, QAnon, and MAGA - an email from Jes Staley saying the people should be in the streets but they've been bought off by JayZ, and an email about the potential for manipulation using 4chan/social media al…

Because the Epstein class has been using media manipulation to create a culture war since at least 2008 if not earlier. For men it's republican macho bullshit and for women it's toxic feminist man hate. Stoke the divide, put us in our own echo chambers to warp reality through the internet, and then keep stealing from our pockets while building a techno-feudalist society with us as chattel. I think you missed part of the point. What does stating this do for you or society exactly? As another commenter posted, violent crime is done by 4%~ of the population with most of it being a 1% group of repeat offenders. The statistics are pretty clear that random men on the street aren't a risk for women in their day-to-day lives, so what good is the rhetoric other than stoking a divide?

It's a self-perpetuating stereotype that society, particularly feminists, refuse to acknowledge or address. If you treat people like they're criminals/violent/don't matter, they're going to react knowing that. I have a flag in my pet file from being firm (marked as aggressive) that the Vet and nurses need to speak with me when talking about my dog because of how often they act like I'm not there. Public schools are explicitly not equality of outcome institutions, at least not when they're operating correctly. They allegedly provide everyone the same oppurtunity to learn and advance, they don't guarantee the same level of learning and advancement for everyone. Just because you don't know the history of public schools or keep up with the practices and adjustments around them to understand how this isn't true doesn't change reality. Nothing in life is a guarantee, but the entire point of pu…

Seems like you do know that these things are discriminatory, and that they are applied on an individual basis. You just call it "positive-discrimination" until the overall outcome is affected more than you desire. Does the phrase bad habit mean nothing to you? Why do you think I agree with those practices? Your argument seems to be that "we can lower the standards for some people just enough as to not disturb the overall outcome too much" but you got it exactly right in your last sentence. I nev…

Public schools tend to be quite discriminatory against boys. Copy pasting the reply to another comment with similar energy. If you want to pivot to teachers being discriminatory to boys, see why we have this subreddit, that's absolutely true but not the argument or nuance being made. I don't agree with this. Are public schools discriminatory in your eyes? How about roads? When we start talking about outcomes at a much higher statistical level, discrimination goes out the window a bit. This post is more or less a part of that - we expect equal outcomes when our firefighters respond to a crisis. Guardrails are put in place to make sure all firefighters are at a base minimum expectation to meet that objective. You can't say that's ok here, and then be against it when it affects…

Equality of outcome makes sense when we're trying to correct decades of injustice such as with red lining and home ownership. Anyone who thinks equality of outcome makes sense here where it comes to job capabilities on an individual basis needs to take a step back and have a really long think about their beliefs.

It's immoral to have men in retirement destitute or on the front lines of war. It's immoral that women have no expectations or responsibilities for protecting their homeland. It's also immoral to invade a sovereign country because the country's leaders have a ketamine addled brain that thinks like a Roman Emperor. Ukraine has nothing to gain from this war. Projection at the end there... Observation, not projection. Not sure if you've been paying attention to the diaper in chief, but refusing to have dialogue and randomly capitalizing words is not a sign of level-headed responses. But as for the beginning, which institutions are you alluding to? Any, all. Patriarchy, courts, boardrooms, slavery, the carve out for enslaving felons in a "free' country. Then we agree that coercive institutions that take people's choice away should be abolished? If you consider that denigrating then you need to check a dictionary. Forcing someone to do sexual acts would be sexual assault. That is much more severe than denigration to the point it's not even in the definition. I think you would be surprised on how much we agree on if you tried. Or we can stick with the intense DARVO and PTSD responses.

Please reread the post. This isn't about entitlement or access to another person's body, it's about manipulation and control. Telling someone you won't give them food, shelter, water, or healthcare isn't abuse (unless they're your dependent such as a child). Telling someone you will only give them those things if they denigrate themselves in some way is abuse. Manipulation and control is abuse regardless of what is used to be coercive. The statistics are counting the percentage of homicides by gender and comparing the percentages. They are not comparing the total amount of homicides by an intimate partner. You are taking 'we don't understand' to mean we don't understand how LLMs work, which is clearly not the point I was making. My 'we don't understand' is we don't 100% know the process for how input A gets output B. Which is... exactly what you said here. Where did I make my stance on workplace accidents or occupational deaths known at all? Please take your strawman elsewhere. Women are absolutely not forced into lower paying professions. I never said it was magic. Read the article. You have this expectation that it's a car and an engineer - every piece can be fine-tuned, studied, explored, and adjusted as needed. So you're full of wildly misleading/debunked statistics and I should ignore what you're posting? Generalizations are bad unless you're talking about generalizations being bad. Those stats are true though - when the select few morph the data to meet their agenda. 70c to the dollar is true - when you amalgamate lifetime earnings and ignore confounding factors like years of experience, motherhood, and career choices. 99% of rapists are men, but lets ignore that rape is defined in such a way that women can't be rapists. It's not nearly that cut and dry, and Ukraine kind of proves that. There are plenty of Americans that are almost as geared as soldiers given the limited restrictions to private ownership. Add in the disadvantages to invading and it's a more level playing field than you think. If you're referring to killer drones, tanks, etc - if the enemy has invaded so far that they can reliably support shipping in heavy equipment, you missed your chance to defend or evacuate a long time ago.

Does it really matter? Christianity has been about interpretation of the scripture for hundreds of years rather than direct written word. Pastors interpret it with their own bias and spread their version of the bible. The dominate version is very anti-sex of any form. Potential causes are varied and no one knows for sure but the best supported theory right now is just hormone changes. Your body releases different amounts of hormones at different times of the day. There can also be physical causes. There's a nerve in your lower back that if you put pressure on it can cause erections. For the longest time people thought that was the main cause of morning wood before moving to the hormone theory. The idea was that if you laid on your back with a full bladder it …

Forcing someone to be a parent and then forcing them to work full time at a specified wage is evil. That's not a "pragmatic" approach, and you can't …

You maintain your own brakes. Most people don't maintain their own brakes. They take them to a mechanic. You can't just move the goalpost and cop out because you used a shitty analogy. If you want to fight it, these things come down to a lawsuit where the victim has to prove negligence on your part. If the ultimate cause is brake failure and you have service records showing that you followed the owner's manual you will be found not liable. You're not at fault because of something bad happening. …

It's necessary "evil". This is worded horribly. It is evil, and the way you have it written implies that it isn't. It however is not necessary. In general, that is an individual problem. Society really can't solve it. Science disagrees with you. Better education alone has a drastic effect on limiting unwanted children. There are definitely things that we as a society can do to curb that issue. I don't even know what this could mean. If you drop a nut and a kid pops out, guess what? You're the pa…

Which is why we should have a system in place to cover those sometimes. Forcing 18 years of indentured servitude (since the state can compel anyone to work full-time, at a certain rate of pay) on anyone regardless of situation is kind of a scam on it's own. It just becomes more of a scam when the system has no regard for edge cases like male rape victims or non-biological parents. The interests of the child 100% matter to me, but we as a society should be doing more to curb unwanted children as …

If your point and findings are so shaky that you can't answer the most basic question about your data maybe you should be more thorough before presenting it in an official capacity. The downvote message was more for whoever downvoted the post. Agreed. And the context and intent of "bitches be crazy" is to be derogative towards women. I've never heard it directed towards men. Most of the people I know use it for unusually crazy behavior from anyone regardless of gender.

There is a time and place for a joke. Something like this could be said at a stand-up show and I wouldn't bat an eye, but on Twitter it needs to be removed per their TOS and should have never been posted. We live in a world where communication has lost a great deal of information trying to be conveyed. The fact is that you can't just write words like this off as a joke when it's in text format, because there are too many people that would take it as truth.

If you really want to die on this hill, a woman is loved unconditionally by society. It doesn't matter how badly a woman mismanages her life or what stick she draws, there is a support group, limited punishment, or some other safety net for her. Whether you would call that "love" is up to the person, but that's what I take from this quote. As someone who is subbed here, mensrights, and egalitarianism all three subs get a lot of bleed over. Most content in each sub is crossposted to the other two by the same people, including this post. But for a women to depend on another human being for basic shelter, food, and safety is more oppressive than her working an office job that allows her to provide for herself. Only women worked office jobs just fine in the time period we're discussing, and office jobs aren't the primary form of work in general, much less for women. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. My point is that women aren't "allowed to" now. They're forced to because they're expected to fend for themselves and be independent. It's just oppression in a different form that is somehow more acceptable to you because it's different.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates13/05/20 11:19 PM

Now that they are allowed to, most women are working. So where is your argument? Now that they are forced to. Women that don't "work" (using quotes because homemaker is work but not generally included) are still relatively commonplace. Of the women that do work, a large portion would still rather be homemakers. If we had UBI, I think the number of stay-at-home wives by choice would surprise you.

It isn't a strawman. I specifically cited right-wing leaders, not right-wingers in general. Right-wing leaders are absolutely doing those things, and as the ones with power in right-wing politics, they represent what people perceive as right-wing. You can't just call it a strawman because you don't like the truth.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/05/20 11:53 PM

I would argue that it isn't, because the right-wing side that doesn't participate in cancel culture, for the most part, is currently showing up to workplaces with guns as protests right now. It takes a lot of extra steps for cancel culture to turn into physical violence.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/05/20 09:56 PM
1

So you would rather that people show up to your house/workplace with guns or start pulling people out of their homes to "enact punishment" until those situations escalate? I never said cancel culture was good, quite the opposite actually, just that it's preferable to other forms of being heard in history. At least you can walk away from getting "canceled".
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/05/20 09:30 PM

Right-wing leaders have done that to themselves. Anyone not in the right-wing bubble can clearly watch those in positions of power doing blatant corruption and eroding standards of living across the globe. While I don't agree with cancel culture, I can't blame people for feeling powerless about the situation and enacting the only form of control they feel they have. Most situations in history that mirror where we are now ended in bloodshed. I'd rather cancel culture than violence.

Only you aren't proving a negative. Proving someone falsely filed an accusation is proving a positive. You're falling for the feminist talking point that someone getting acquited for rape means that the accuser will get tried for a false accusation. That's not the goal or how the process works. Prosecuting for a false accusation would be its own separate court battle that is not reliant on the initial accusation. If there is evidence that an accusation was false, then the filing party should fac…

Doesn't work this way in the US sadly. DSHS in my state will fight you tooth and nail for every dollar you earn with the court being the reasonable arbitrator. Without that court to intervene, you're looking at trying to fix it after the fact which can be difficult. I currently pay $600~/mo in support but would only pull in $785~/mo on unemployment.
