Thanks for sharing this with me. I'm always worried about those scenarios you mentioned, and I'm glad someone out there can rise above a loved one's adversity. My ex-girlfriend was weak and selfish.

The hope is still there even if it's one more rejection away from being snuffed out. I'm really mixed up about blackpill, society, my physical shortcomings, acceptance, love, and where I fit into all of this. Most days I just wish everything about me, including peoples' memories and experiences with me, could be erased completely. I can't drive because of my disability, which is a massive turn off to women (9/10s of my rejections were because of it), and a big reason why I'm a recluse. I'm 33 an…

If you suggested this 10 years ago, I'd be on board 100 percent. I strongly believed in altruism before taking the blackpill...I suffer enough and no one goes out of their way to help me, so I'm not sure if I have the resolve for it. I'm getting old and worn down, and my physical limitations are growing worse with age. Most days it's challenging to get out of bed. Thank you for your kind response all the same.

Nice snap judgment, friend, considering I don't prioritize sex since it's nothing but a crude, manipulative force. I just want to be respected and appreciated: to finally feel attractive to someone after decades of neglect and dismissal. People like me...heh. You don't understand my pain and never will. Society made me into a subhuman because of my physical issues and bad height: nothing I can do about it; nothing to "accept responsibility" as you glibly state. It must be easy for a winner to po…

Better to be bored than condemned to subhuman status your entire life.

Yeah. It's hard to explain to people how I'm blackpilled but not an incel.

I get where you're coming from. Society is a rotten place that rewards Al Bundys and shuns Atticus Finchs. I settled for adopting stoicism and becoming a recluse.

No. I gave up and took the blackpill instead.

Yep. At best, this guy is just going to end up a footnote on her list.

I mean the bad elements associated with MGTOW and red pill, which this sub explains regularly. As for giving up on dreams, I highlighted that when explaining my difficulties with women and being disabled.

It's been an enriching thread for sure.

I'm slowly becoming asexual, and it's a freeing experience.

Yes. Getting out of my apartment would be the first step. I've spent six years or so as a recluse, and when I thought I was free of it, my ex and her judgmental behavior made it worse. I never had trouble making friends in college (at my graduation party I had roughly 50 people show up), but it's a different game now. Replacing my lifelong obsession with someone else is the focus now. Thank you for your response.

Thank you. After hundreds of hours of reflecting on each and every twist and turn in our relationship, I've come to the conclusion I wrongly blamed myself for the situation. I wish she could understand, but there's nothing to be done about it.

Luckily my mom raised me to be a diehard contrarian, so that won't be a problem. Thank you.

There was a point - probably a year ago or so - when I almost believed the "women are out to get you and your wallet" narrative, which ran counter to all the great women in my life who have succeeded independently. It was nothing more than a convenience and a cop out: a reward for lazy, emotion-based thinking. Thank you for reading my words, and for your response.

I've never been interested at all in the hookup world: it seems pointless and hollow, has the potential for extremely negative consequences, and I find women in that sphere unattractive. Same with the whole prostitute situation; and besides, I'd rather spend my money on new games or something practical like cooking equipment. I'm more of an old soul "indica, Cosmos, and chill" kind of guy than a gottagetlaid247dudebro. I would find more value and meaning in being with someone whom I could build …

I've been living in 2006/7 for a long time, since those were my best years, so it'll take a lot of work to move forward and find a meaningful replacement. You're 100 percent on negativity being contagious, and I would like to break free from that pattern; and I think I'm at a point where it's the only element that gives me adrenaline. Before my awful situation three years ago, I was that rational, zen-like figure. Thank you for response and link. I'll look into it after work.

Thank you for that. It seems I also share their obsession with the past, which is why I really haven't done anything valuable since college. And it's good to know my situation wasn't that unusual in the grand scheme of things.

I've been over her for some time, and don't miss her; I miss the relationship and elevation it brought me, especially bringing me to the same level as my friends from college. Thanks for showing how extreme this group can be...I won't pursue it beyond what I have learned. As for finding other activities, I've considered volunteering/visiting a retirement community down the block from my house. It's going to take some time to reprogram my thinking and how I perceive myself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
