1	Thoughts on Proposing Exclusity I disagree with people saying that the talk is never needed in a good relationship, that it should just be understood. I have been on both sides of this. My first serious boyfriend was sleeping with other women for weeks after I ad assumed we were exclusive, and was surprised to find that was my impression. I have also continued dating around when one of the guys I was seeing supposed we were a couple without ever asking. If you want it, ask for it.
