Maybe it’s a bit much for some people but I always go for dinner and an activity.

Its really based on where I meet them, usually if I meet them at the bar it’s a more social environment so its not intense but I agree if I meet them casually in public then I don’t recommend doing this

I also don’t like saving numbers until they pan out to something so it helps me keep track of who’s who

When I get a girls number in person I take a selfie with them and send it to them. Sometimes I don’t remember what they looked like, and it kinda eliminates the whole when do I text them thing

One memorable time, I went to a bar with a buddy to shoot some pool. As we walked up to the bar to get the pool balls I noticed a girl sitting alone at the bar and I honestly just started some banter with her and I guess it helped that my friend joined in a bit and next thing I know she’s shooting pool with us and that night I was hanging out with her in my car till like 6am and we eventually exchanged numbers and we out a few more times

Have you tried asking your close female friend for help? Typically, women specifically, that have known you for a long time would be better at helping you.

It’s also important to remember that no one owes you anything no matter how far out of your comfort zone you are, they do not owe you anything and if they decide to engage then good for you.

Sounds like maybe you should see a therapist before trying to bring someone else into your life. This advice is probably said often but it’s probably because it’s an honest solution.

I usually just keep an ongoing conversation, that kind of just carry’s on for days before and after dates until it’s a relationship. Otherwise only whenever I feel like going out, I’ll strike something up and then plan a date from there

Probably different because of the amount of effort and time you put into it. If you’re looking to date them then I would say go for it with the picnic, otherwise it may be a little too over the top for someone you’re just trying to hook up with

Just watch Kevin Hart’s stand up, all of his jokes are about how short he is

I just assume they’ve had tons and always try to steer away from those conversations

I 100% agree that solo hobbies are enjoying your own company, some people join clubs and such with like minded people who also share the same hobbies to meet new people and expand their social circles. That’s really great to hear! I’m proud of you bud! The first few times will be scary but if you’re circulating the same venues it’ll eventually feel like you own the place because you’ll know a lot of people and maybe the bartenders will have remembered your drink order too! Keep up the good work …

I sometimes will go out to a pool hall and shoot some pool by myself. I almost always end up making friends or just hanging at the bar and someone will usually strike up conversation with me. It should be a priority at some point in your life to be able to enjoy your own company

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
