I work outside, in the Texas heat, and fasting will kick your ass even if you have a nice comfortable place to suffer. The "my teeth are falling out" and "mouth full of splinters" are the dreams I get after day 5, but once day 10 hits, all I dream about is a solid bowel movement.

Occasionally fast, but not in over a year. Longest was 12 days, 16 hours. My target was 14 days with only water. I had a strawberry barrel that was fit to bursting with huge juicy red fruit, and my daughter was covered in the juice looking like she ran down a rabbit and gorged herself on the blood. While wiping her face off, she put one in my face and I bit it, and my 14 day fast was broken just like that. I had a bowl of broth that night, and then an egg the next day. Coming back from a long on…

I sell eggs. $3/dozen. Coop was like $200 in lumber and wire, and the birds cost a $1 a chick at the feed store. 40lb bag of feed every other month is $12, and a bird lays 2 or three eggs a day the first year. 6 birds = way more eggs than I can eat, so I sell them to co-workers that want country fresh eggs. Once they stop laying, I fatten them up and make soup, and get more birds.

I'll be 50 next year, and I live alone with 2 bitches. A German Sheppard and a Staffordshire Terrier. I have a daughter I see every other weekend, and on Wednesdays. My older sons are grown men, and out on their own. I have a 21 year old cleaning lady that comes by on Monday's for a couple of hours. I have a huge TV, a PS4, a Switch, a PC, and fill my time with working on my PC and cars, playing with two high energy dogs, and cooking. I read on the back porch, play a few games, grow peppers and …

I lived in my camper trailer for about 2 years after I got away from my daughters mom. I spent plenty of time outside the camper, sitting in lawn chairs reading books, grilling, riding my mountain bike, and warming a barstool. The time I spent in the camper was confined to sleeping, showers, and cooking when it was raining. The colder months were pretty bad, as I couldn't really get out much. Believe me, life was 100% better than living with the harpy, but as soon as I could get my finances toge…

Try your hand at Texas Chili. Bout 2-4 pounds of meat. (I use beef rib meat and Ground Chuck with Chili grind) I slice the rib meat up into small bite sized pieces. Brown all of this before you pitch it into the pot. I've made it with gator, but this takes longer if you don't boil it beforehand for a while. You can use breakfast sausage, ground turkey, or whatever you want your chili to taste like. 2 large onions finely chopped, fried in the meat drippings till they clear, then pitch them in the…

You might want to reevaluate your take on Christianity. If you view the Bible as a story of creation leading up to the eventual delivery of the savior, then you can skip to the part at the end where JC says that he's fulfilled the covenant, and now man has a relationship with God. As you weren't a Hebrew, the first part of the bible doesn't apply to you at all. Not the Levite laws, not the 10 commandments, tithing, tassels, none of it. It was only when, in the end, that the salvation was offered…

LTC. Go get a reliable pistol, learn all about it, learn how to effectively aim and operate it, and how to hit what you aim at. Learn how to do efficient reloads to main continuity of fire, and how to produce the weapon from concealment quickly and efficiently. Then, go get your carry permit. Easy. I rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I suppose that if you look into older written fiction, you'd find that not to many hero's were married men. Bilbo Baggins was a bachelor, as was his his nephew Frodo. In fact, I can't really remember any of the fellowship being married. Doc Savage was another. Buckaroo Bonzai was unmarried. Indiana Jones. Conan the Barbarian, not the douche talk show host. Drizzt Do'Urden and his pal Bruenor Battlehammer get up to no good and all sorts of adventure without the complication of wives.

Do you have a dog? If you do, you still have a mission. You still have someone that waits for you to wake up, and return home. If you don't have a dog, I recommend you go down to the nearest kill shelter, and find one on death row, one who has lost purpose, one that can't go on without you, one that hasn't eaten well since he was abandoned. Puppies are cute, and often find homes much faster than the dog that grew up with a family, only to be abandoned when he was no longer convenient. That is th…

I used to tell my kids, "If you're going to lie to me, make it exciting. I want the most fantastic, outrageous, over the top lie you can possibly tell. If it involves aliens, a shootout, a car chase, some explosions, and maybe sharks with frikkin laser beams on their heads, then we're cool." Cause kids lie. They have chocolate on their face, the cookie jar is shattered on the kitchen floor, and when asked, "What happened?" I used to get, "Wasn't me!" Well after I requested the fantastic, and the…

I really want a Dodge Challenger. I have since watching the Dukes fly around in the General Lee, jumping creeks and the sheriff. I have enough in the bank to just go buy one if I feel like it, and have come close a few times. But no man with a pile of money in the bank really drives a sports car if he doesn't really need one. A beat up pickup truck and a POS HHR pretty much do it for me. As long as both perform their function, I can't really see replacing them with something that will only reall…

I live in Texas, so take this as you will. First off, Texas is about the size of Germany, so it's a big state. Asking how things are in Texas is kind of hard to narrow down if you don't give a city. Steer clear of Austin if you want to stay away from all the SJW, blue haired, rainbow, HRC yellow =, Coexist, commie, socialist, feminist majority. While I don't disagree, I find it hard to be proud of anything that was simply a product of my birth. It amounts to the same thing as being proud to be green eyed, or brown haired, or tall. I believe instead, we should show pride in things we have control over. Like Proud to be a Veteran, Firefighter, Successful, Father, Skater, Fisherman. . . you get the idea. Maybe we are proud of the things that we can do for each other, our community, our family, or country. Then we can stand back and be res…

The key is fathers. If there is no father to teach a man the skills he needs in life, then there is struggle. Daughters see momma get made up, dress, and bring streams of men through the front door, so they are taught how to survive. What can a woman teach a son about being a man?

Indeed, you have to look at the Greek words used. Submit is the word used, but the meaning of the word used is somewhat more powerful. hypotassesthe - To place or rank beneath, put in subjection, to obey A soldier would be aware of his rank with relation to his commander, but would not be slave to him. Recall that slavery was a very real thing in the Roman empire, and so there are different words used to describe the subjugation of a slave. So someone that was to rank beneath was not not slave t…

Women are the majority of the TV watcher when it comes to Situational shows. Your basic 30m comedy about a family will always cast the man as the dumb ass, the woman as the strong smart one, and the kids and mom politely laughing at how incompetent dad is. Expect gay family members visiting often during these shows. The advertisement commercials during these shows are usually selling tampons, douche, shampoo, or some cleaning product. Men watch either an action based show or sports, where they c…

Not illegal, but perhaps get government out of marriage. Why do you need governments permission (marriage license) to get married? Why is the government involved in your personal life? Marriage used to be a religious ceremony, performed by a religious official, in front of the town and the respective families. If the vows were broken, and the marriage became insolvent, only the religion could absolve it. You see "Separation of Church and state" in every liberal argument about prayer in school, y…

The sagging pants trend seems like a Psy Op to me. Convince easily swayed minds that having your pants hanging off your ass like a prison punk is somehow cool, along with loosely laced shoes, and then easily catch them as they are running from the cops. Watch any episode of "Cops" and watch the saggers get caught up on chain-link fences, trip on their own pants, or having shoes go flying off the moment the chase begins. What's worse is seeing it on guys at work. Nothing screams "unprofessional" …

If you like your job, and you're the boss, fine. But if you are an employee, move up once you have mastered your current position. Otherwise, you'll get stuck at the level you're on, and they'll move the younger guys up. If y…

Hobbies. . . I start one, get really into it, pay lots of money, then one day I don't really care anymore. Then I start something else, rinse, repeat. I like playing wargames, and used to love painting the miniatures, but then my vision went to shit. I used to love robots, but there is only so much you can do before it gets old. Racing drones? Fun as hell till I was breaking something on every run. I learned plenty about everything I sunk my time into, and had fun doing it. I say do what looks f…

Think of the whole thing like a wart on your hand. It wasn't always there, it got bigger and you noticed it. After analyzing it, you saw it had to be removed. After it was gone, it hurt quite a bit more than you thought it would. As the days go by, it won't hurt anymore, but the scar will be there for years, and you'll remember it every time you look at it. Eventually you'll go to look for the scar, and you won't remember where it was exactly, or even which hand it was on. You'll remember having…

I wouldn't say I was Ex-Military, since the oath I took had no expiration date. I'd say I was Prior military. Once you get out, all the military mannerisms, language, and mindset stay with you. As far as dating? There are barracks hoe's in every branch, as well as groupies, and the like. Air Force has the best chow, the hottest females, and the shortest deployments. Army has most of the dykes, fuglies, gunts, slores, and psycho hose beasts. I don't really know a lot about the marines besides tha…

I run a Unicorn farm. I need to have the delivery truck full of 50 lb bags of Unicorn feed unloaded, and hired Jack and Jane. The trip from the truck to the barn is 300 meters and pays $.50/bag. Jack is 18 years of age, medium build, and average height. He can carry two bags per trip in two minutes. Jane is 18 years of age, medium build, and average height. She can carry one bag per trip in 3 minutes. Jane complains that she is being paid less. The thing to keep in mind is that Jack earns more t…

You have to have been in a relationship to truly know what it is like to be miserable. Only then do you reflect on what happiness was. You realize that you had it before you were in a relationship, and after the wound heals, and the stitches come out, the itching of healing flesh is gone, then you realize you can have it again. Some folks can't leave it alone though, and start picking at the scar, and reopen it again.

There are some options that you might not have considered, with decent pay, upward mobility, healthcare, education benefits, and dental. You would have to commit some years of your life to the job, but afterward, you'll be all set. Go up the road, and look for your Army recruiter, and see what he has for you. If you're not feeling the Army, then you can pick one of the lesser branches like the Marines or the Navy. If you have no other options, enjoy hotel like accomodations, great food, short ov…
