You can make plenty of gains with 150 grams of protein... IF... the protein is high quality, you're eating clean, you add quality carbs...high quality carbs (oats, brown rice, beans, sweet potatoes) are extremely muscle-sparing. I'm not a meathead, either. I just know what works for me. If I go too high on protein, I get awful diarrhea and no clear advantage in my lifts. Again...YMMV
