Literally no one is saying men shouldn't get vaccinated. No one. Why do you keep saying that?? In public health you group people according to risk rates and vaccinate in that order until you have the means to vaccinate everyone who should get it. So in rich countries boys and girls get it at the same time. Nobody is disputing that. But until there's enough budget to vaccinate everyone at once, it makes sense from a public health perspective and an ROI perspective to vaccinate high risk groups of men before the general population.
Even if a man does get HPV from oral, it's asymptomatic in almost all cases, meaning they don't get cancer from. So again, to reiterate my point, it's not that boys shouldn't get vaccinated, it's that women are at a higher risk of 1) contracting it 2) getting cancer from it and 3) dying from that cancer.
Which, if he were having sex with men, would make sense for him to be vaccinate as a high risk group. However that's less than 5% give or take of men. As a straight man, the probability of acquiring those from sex with an infected woman is significantly lower.
If you have one vaccine and give it to the girl, she's protected if she sleeps with 10 men. If you give it to one man, she's only protected one out of those 10 times.
They should be vaccinated, but are a lower priority group if there isn't an abundance of vaccines. The same applies in emergency cases, you vaccinate health workers first. Or in cases where certain groups are higher risk, for example people who live in an endemic area. This is basic population health.
