A good friend of mine and his wife had about 20k saved for their wedding, held it in a local botanical garden, had friends cater it, and had the reception at a local campground. Spent a total of 1100 on it, then went backpacking across Europe for 6 months with the rest. I'm pretty sure they ended up with a better memory and photo album than another stuffy overpriced wedding.
