Anecdotally I would disagree, my wife's love is unconditional, I know a few men and women who love unconditionally and it seems to be more based on personality than gender. There will always be some people who view relationships transactionally and others who feel them.

I’d say as long as the autistic partner had no power over them it would be fine. I worked for a few people with Autism and the only thing that made life hard was the fact that they held power over you. They generally don’t understand the fundamentals of human emotion and as a result can rule over you like a tyrant.

When she indicates you to stop, just ask her whats up. Let her know you have feelings for her and ask her if she feels comfortable being intimate. She will likely express her concerns and you can move on from there. If you are emotionally invested in her, and she is too she likely wants to hear that.
