That's fair. In that case it's more likely that I disagree with the notion of nulling a contact based on perceived misogyny, where the ruling can fall victim to the whole 'moving the goal posts' thing we see a lot with appeals to emotion

Something about this feels really wrong. Is it an extension of free speech, freedom of expression or one of those? Aren't contracts legally binding? Would this have worked if the genders were reversed? It feels like a moral duty to defend personal freedom and rights like this, even when it's something you wouldn't agree with right? I defend the right for vegans to scream meat is murder in my face for the same reasons. Was it even a surprise to her that this was going to happen? They were togethe…

I managed a high end restaurant here in Cambridge. Due to the owners connections the clientel were mostly Cambridge's 'finest'. You better believe I heard and saw some real shit while I was there. Cambridge students have to endure compulsory seminars, regarding consent and other topics; else risk their induction. And that's just what's on topic.

I don't fuck men but if I ever somehow suffered the misfortune of getting pregnant with an XY I'd abort. Ironically the opposite seems to be true. Righteous, wholly superior women seemingly unable to parent healthy young boys. Choosing delusions of infanticide instead :/

I have a question. Does copy and pasting the same response seem a bit like brigading? The reason it was impactful is because the op took time to think about a genuine statement. Does it not lose the potency of the meaning when it looks to Google like a bunch of angry dudes spamming mindless copypasta's?

That's only half true mate, I registered the birth of my son 7 months ago, and they had to ask the mother's permission for me to be allowed on the birth certificate. She could have just said no. It would have been that easy for her.

Like that article/study that was on here a while ago that listed stuff like inequality in household spending and a bunch of other metrics. (If numbers will jog your memory it was something like female partners spent 60-70% of all household income, I remember the high number standing out) Nowhere to be found anymore, unless Reddit magic happens!

How do you even define sexual maturity in relation to 'age of consent'. I for sure wasnt sexually matey by your idea of it by 14. as a pretty late bloomer. I know that I'm not unusual in that so how would that category of people fit in to that definition of sexually mature? You must see the instant rabbit hole you fall down trying to define it in simple terms. Production of sperm carrying orgasms, periods, body changes, muscular growth... All of a sudden you have anywhere from age 5 to 18 year o…

I must disagree. Female contraception is everywhere. New male contraception exists, that would give men the choice like women get. This very topic was on the BBC a while ago and they asked women on the street what they thought about new male contraception (pill, patches, vasal Gel). And the general reply was that they didn't like it, boilerplate responses included "we wouldn't trust men with our lives like that", "it's a woman's job" "men would forget to take it/refresh it/etc blahh blah". It's …

Do you think that the more we collectively find the right words to talk about it, the more their negativity stands out negatively? In this case their 'par for the course' could perhaps be beneficial in the long term. Well constructed arguments based on logic and evidence are an important tool. Whether people agree with them or not people like Peterson or Shapiro are difficult to debate as they cite peer reviewed research to back up their commentary. But let's be clear this does not include them …

Thank you for this. I feel like your comment couldn't be argued by a feminist without showing the true colours of today's feminism. Because you're not wrong. They would have to commit to logical fallacies and straight up immorality to discount any of your points. Posts such as this are some of the evidence that shows you are being honest.

I'm sorry if this isn't something you like seeing. I'm from the UK, and stuff like this has only really started showing up for me. I'm finding it useful to read the comments. I'm not looking for ammo, or an argument with them. But I am looking to understand my view on it further.

He's kinda right. It actually comes from back in the day when horse and cart were prevalent. The gentleman would position himself in-between the woman and the road. So that she wouldn't suffer any splash back from roadside puddles and such!

I like this argument. Purely because people say the 'baby' can survive from something like 24 weeks. But the whole time it's hooked up to life support and the incubation box. But the point in which the baby can actually survive unassisted, without being attached via placenta and without life support. I would be comfortable saying at that point, is the fetus a baby, a legal and real human being.

That's not my intention in the slightest. I wanted some input on what you think about the quote and all the likes. I see loads of posts like this here, why is mine being cherry picked as bragging?

Firstly that report quotes the 77 cents on the dollar myth that had been debunked worldwide by both sides. A report that quotes an openly debunked statistic is pretty unreliable if you ask me, but that's an opinion and somewhat of a logical fallacy. Oh well. Upon reading it's pretty obvious why they quoted the 77 cents. They then go on to make their own statistics(69 cents on the dollar!!?) in the same way that caused the original study to be completely flawed. It's men's money versus women's mo…

I think you guys might have missed the sarcasm in the op. The wage gap doesn't exist. Feminists use wildly exaggerated points to keep the myth alive. This is the wildly exaggerated point but the other way round. The point is to highlight the madness of the idea of the wage gap and the unfair parallels that feminists draw.

Thanks for the comment. I think I misunderstood and/or incorrectly stated my thought in the original post. I meant the methods in which Marxist's indoctrinated people. Not the actual ideology per se. I think I will correct the post. Thanks for the really good comment.

Thank you for your response. I understand that I worded my musings incorrectly; pointed out by another users post. But the method in which you replied here is more of the positive, constructive tone I would expect from an MRA. Your point of view is extremely helpful. If I understand you correctly, I misunderstand their agenda somewhat. Am I right in thinking that it is infact a string of cleverly worded logical fallacies to appeal to someones, I don't know the word for it, heart strings? social …

Do MRAs not see everything from a mens' rights perspective? Everything? No, not at all. That would be absurd. However we've seen plenty of inane topics become gender issues through feminism. Or do they simply believe that feminism is a social development that should be worked towards, much as MRAs believe that men's rights are a goal that should be worked towards? Well they WOULD see that, that was kinda the whole point. They see what they want to. Much like the religious, they already know the …

If this is such a big problem then why did they all rush out to buy millions and millions of copies of the Twilight series. Or 50 Shades series? Surely books supporting the use of white hetero male protagonists is against their agenda in every possible way? Especially considering the fact that these books place the white male in extensively powerful positions over the damsel type character. Their hypocrisy really knows no bounds. They sit there with these books on their shelves and write about h…

Thanks for the kind words. The worst bit is benefits are made for people in genuinely bad situations. The only reason i wasn't homeless was because of friends letting me stay with them. I could barely afford to eat one meal of pasta a day and nothing else. Yet somehow i wasn't able to claim anything. A sick and broken system.

Single white male doesn't rank high in my governments 1 to 10 scale of people. I was on jobseekers allowance for 2 months, and they gave me an ultimatum, 'do this job search course, or we stop your benefits, we dont pay students to go to college'. Whereas a girl that was on my exact course, with both parents earning money, had been on jobseekers for a year and a half. (her two weekly sign on day was the same as mine so i got to hear everything.) Take that as you want but it's pretty much ruined …

men get help from governments and societies. I was forced to leave college, my home, and move across the country to live with family, because I was denied this 'help' you're talking about.

All jokes aside, £100 quid investment into a wearable camera will save you all sorts of unforeseen negativity. This case, for instance. It may seem odd or stupid, or unnecessary, but at the end of the day, nothing is unnecessary these days.

This was a sad conversation to read. It's a shame some people can't see beyond their own ego to the bigger picture. A slander campaign to make MRA look like everything they say about us. (animals, bigots, violent rapists). And this guy want's to give them exactly what they want. I'm not sure whether I'm empathetic, or disappointed.
