I understand it may be frustrating being in your environment and seeing that behavior get validated and rewarded by others. However you do not need to act in that manner to have successful sexual and romantic relationships with women. You can be masculine and confident without having to constantly needing to reaffirm it to others. There are many factors at play including but not limited to environment, age demographic, upbringing, etc. Certain groups of women will be reponsive to that kind of be…

It is a form of progress. You are progressing in a direction. I don't know if it's the kind of progress you want. What are you trying to accomplish?

I think it might be that feeling sorry for yourself can become a habit. This isn't the case for everyone, but some people can become attached to the relief that can come from feeling sorry for yourself. When others see someone expressing those kinds of feelings, they may feel obligated to help that person deal with those feelings. Everyone has their own issues to deal with and they may not want the responsibilty of helping someone else deal with their issues. I personally think its fine to have …

That does seem frustrating. Fortuantely, In my experience you don't need to be a charismatic person to find a partner you connect with. If you are a more reserved person, it is very important that you learn how to enjoy your own company. You are unlikely to have to the abundance of social opportunities that a more outgoing person would have. This means that you are going to meet fewer people over the course of your life. Try to put yourself in situations where you can meet more people who share …

I understand that must have been painful for you. One important factor i forgot to mention is social circle. The people you find yourself surrounded by will have an effect on you. So as much as possible try to surround yourself with people who are uplifting and caring. This is easier said than done and ot may take a while.

Did you have bad experiences with women in the past? That might be the cause of your avoidance of women. Try asking yourself why you behave this way? See if you can trace when this behavious started. It might be further back or more recently.

Try thinking about how you would like to be treated. If you want to be treated with kindness, try to be kinder. If you want people to be patient with you, try to be more patient. It won't be easy, but think of trying to be the friend that you have always wanted. What are the qualities, attitudes or beliefs that they possess. Try to be a little more like that.

Your feelings are valid and everyone is afraid of something. In this case, the thing that you fear is largely out of your control. It is impossible to say with 100% certainty that a partner will never cheat. With this in mind, it is more about letting go of the need to control the outcome of a relationship. In any relationship the only actions that you have control of are your own. Do your best to be a good partner and seek out other good partners. This is easier said than done, but worrying abo…

You can choose what you want your goal to be. Some people use religion as a framework to craft their goals. Some people use philosophy or science, etc. I think you should ask yourself what it is you would like to do with your life. Do you want a family? Do you want to pursue a life of religious celibacy? Do you you want to become a hermit and live the rest of your days in isolation? Do you want to collect a vast amount of wealth? Do you want to devote yourself to helping the less fortunate? It's…

My theory is that most people struggle to reconcile their biology with the capacity for higher thought. Being self aware has made many humans think they are inherently superior to other species. The rationale goes "I act differently than all other animals, therefore i am not an animal. That means i am not subject to the same rules as other species. If I admit I am an animal, I might lose the the privledge that comes with the belief that I am superior to other species. How do i justify my exploit…

In my experience, women do not only want "alpha" men. There are women who are exclusively attracted to those kinds of guys. There are women who have no interest in the same type of guys. If you try to be someone you're not, eventually the facade will break. Faking your personality can't be kept up forever and will make you miserable.

Some people find the core values of MGTOW & TRP to be attractive. It fills a need that those who follow it aren't getting fulfilled elsewhere. A belief or movement doesn't need to be true to have lots of followers. It just needs to be appealing enough to be believed.

I think it looks like my comment was validating what the guy did. I thought since it was obvious to me that the guy's response was wrong, it would be more interesting to analyze his behavior. My message could have been more clear. I actually like being downvoted because its nice to have people disagree with you. It can lead to perceiving reality differently, which I find exciting.

Yes I agree. I thought it would be more interesting to examine where this person in particular was coming from in responding in this manner. Understanding the motivations behind a person's actions makes it easier to help them see what they did wrong. Since this subreddit is a place to help people exit the redpill, a message like this can give insight into the possible origins of some of these people.

Have you been called creepy before? If most of a women's experiences with being approached in public are negative, they will view public approaches in a negative light. "But why is this narrative always that men are just inherently either creepy or so bad at social interactions that they come off as uncalibrated because it's just not something I have been seeing" I would dispute this point by saying that just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. They might have had more negative experiences than positive experiences when it comes to being approached by men in specific areas. Most people aren't receptive to being approached in a market or on a train. On top of that, it's possible the majority of men that approached them may have done so in an overly aggressive or uncalibrated manner. This can create a general negative association to being approached in public. This a topic where you are going to get a variety of different answers. Everyo…

It might just be the fact that there is so much choice out there. More and more people are staying single and playing the field. You can't force someone to be attracted to you, so it would be better to focus on what is more within your control. The way you dress, finances, mitigating debilitating psychological issues. All I can offer is a reminder that economic and social factors have a heavy affect on what is considered desirable. This in turn affects what people are looking for in a partner. F…

I agree to an extent. I think we should encourage kids to try to be more empathic. Try to see things from a different point of view. It won't solve the Incel issue, but it can mitigate it over time. Many children I teach have a very combative mindset. It can be hard to be kind and caring when you view others as a threat or competition.

The problem is that not all men and women want the same things that you want. It's fine to have standards for your own behavior. It's also fine to have standards for how people treat you. Not all men and women perceive the world in the same manner that you do.

"Don't compare your behind the scenes to everyone else's highlight reel." I can't remember where I got the quote from, but I have found it helpful. On social media and in popular media, it would be easy to assume that everyone is having a great time, all the time. What people rarely post are the rough times, the moments that usually don't get as many shares and likes. You are always aware of your own failures, but not as aware of what's going on in other people's lives behind closed doors.

So my understanding is that you believe women should behave in ways that men find acceptable. Is that accurate or am I missing something?
/r/ExRedPill23/05/21 06:06 AM

Its good that you are trying to meet the standards you set for yourself. I'm curious as to why you believe the women were offended by this statement? Why are women so offended when told men expect them to have manners and behave? In my opinion I see this is a loaded question. There is an assumption that the women are being unreasonable with taking offense to the statement. It is also inferred that the men in this case know better than the women.

I think you need to forgive yourself. It can be extremely difficult to do. Accept where you are as of this moment and try to follow a different path. You will most likely fall off a bunch of times, once again you need to forgive yourself. Beating yourself up is not what you need right now. I know this isn't practical advice, but see if you can spend some tome just breathing. In 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds and out 4 seconds. Repeat this until you start to feel a sense of calm.

Some people just aren't very empathetic. Others have the issue of dumping their emotional baggage on the first person that shows them any sympathy. Insecurity by itself is not necessarily unattractive. We all have our own insecurities to deal with. Insecurity in a person becomes unattractive when it becomes all consuming. For example someone who is in constant need of attention. Their need for attention is valid, but it can be a bit much for people to deal with.

I believe that you can learn something useful from everyone and everything, whether the lesson is "what not to do" or "what to do". If you learned something that benefited you, then that's fine. You don't have to absorb everything about an ideology or philosophy when studying it.

Many people get an ego boost from having sex with conventionally attractive women. That sense of validation of feeling attractive and wanted can be intoxicating. I think many people get caught continually chasing that high. There is also the recognition from other people that comes from having sex with conventionally attractive women. It's like having multiple avenues of an external validation IV drip. Mix in the chemicals that are released from sex as well as orgasms. You can create a self sust…

Most genetic traits can't be changed. You are better off learning to accept your height, skin color, eye color, hair color and texture, etc. If you really can't deal with a certain physical traits there are experimental procedures which may produce results. I believe that If you have an abundance of choice in any aspect of life, you will be pickier. People without choice can't afford to be picky. This applies to dating as well. If you have a wide range of choice in sexual and romantic partners, deciding to stick with one person can be difficult. This is why I tell guys to do their best with what they have. There are a few things you can do to improve your physical appearance. Certain traits need to be accepted. You can't control how another person …

I personally think as long as you are okay with her being interested in your past then it's fine. To provide a counter argument, in my experience many guys are interested in a girl's past for certain reasons. It may be they are worried her past partners were more well endowed, better lovers, more fit, richer etc. These reasons usually have more to do with them thinking they aren't good enough for their partner. There is nothing wrong with feeling insecure by itself, but sometimes excessive insec…

I think it's because many people don't know if the trouble they have with dating is explicitly because of how they look, act, or if its a societal issue. In my experience it's usually a mix of factors. If you can't figure out what you are doing wrong, it can become frustrating to the point of desperation. So you are more likely to follow a person or group who seems to have it figured out. I think it's more likely that a lot of men are in a state of desperation in regards to dating. Their methods…

I'm no psychologist, but it seems it may be a need to control things. It's possible that some people feel a loss of control over their own lives and try to make up for it by attempting to control the behavior of others. Its usually easier to see the flaws in others than self reflect and take care of our own issues.

It's hard for me to figure out my opinion on this topic because of how abstract romantic love is. There are many factors to account for when measuring any abstract concept. I personally don't believe the depth of romantic love is currently quantifiable by any scientific methodology. I could be wrong though. I think it would be hard to do as love itself can be such a nebulous and abstract concept. For most people there does need to be physical attraction in the initial stages when forming a roman…
