TRP makes the claim that sexual strategy is "amoral," and that any act that results in the acquisition of sex has no moral dimension. This is one of the ideology's most preposterous ideas. Deceiving people, manipulating people in bad faith, exploiting insecurities, breaking promises, all of these things carry moral weight regardless of whether or not sex is involved.

"Crazy" is too low resolution of a term to offer a meaningful response. Generally speaking, you should not keep romantic company with people whose behavior and disposition is unstable.

You should lift weights and do cardio in part because of the aesthetic benefits, but also because there are a ton of ancillary benefits to having an exercise routine. It helps regulate your mood. It promotes higher levels of energy. It helps digestion. It helps build habits around having discipline and deferring gratification. Anyone who has spent more than a year going to the same gym has noticed how few people will be there from the start of that year to the finish- you begin to view yourself …

It's not remotely manipulative. Here's how it's worked in my relationship, which is amazing. "I don't believe in marriage. I think the contract is badly written and I don't want to be a part of it. I love you and your company all the same. You can take it or leave it." That's just expressing a preference.

That CDC study (from which the 1 in 5 statistic emerged) was badly written and badly executed. The questions were written to achieve an outcome. Here are some basic problems: -A MAJOR source of the cases of "sexual assault" are attributed to cases where the woman reports 'being under the influence of drugs and alcohol.' "Under the influence" remains undefined. Whether or not their sexual partner was also under the influence is undefined. The gender of the sex partner is undefined. -The interview…

Anyone who is in or past their mid-20's has gone through a wave of female peers/friends/secondary acquaintances that have gone through divorce and are now single again at 29-35. I tend to think that people experience the desire to "get their fingernails dirty" in waves. It's kind of like how after you hit it hard on the weekend, go to a big concert and get really trashed and exhaust yourself, you're okay with lounging around the house in your free time for the next week. A woman's wedding/early …

Like I said, they have the right, and I can still lurk and take what I want. Hell, I defend TRP here all the time and have even in this thread. I would suggest, though, that there may be some middle ground for their moderators between an immediate lifetime ban for newer posters and no response.

And you said that because you hadn't absorbed the lesson yet To some extent, that's true. It took a while to understand TRP. A lot of it does seem hateful at first, and there are a lot of frustrated teenagers there acting like frustrated teenagers, but the underlying message is generally useful. Deprogramming these kind of sick, deviant values is what TRP is all about. And until you can understand how what you did was totally unacceptable to any sane person, then you do need to be kept silent so…

It would have been totally fine to have that comment go unacknowledged, ignored, voted down, responded to negatively, or ridiculed, but being banned genuinely surprised me. I would have thought a place built on masculine principles would have countered speech with speech rather than going full Anita Sarkeesian and eliminating my comment and my voice. All the same, it doesn't irk me all that much to be banned. I still read the threads and formulate opinions and use the posts as jumping off points…

I think there is some very strong evidence to the opposing point of view, that women have always benefited from the halo effect whereas men have not. I realized that the more accepted narrative is that women were heavily oppressed prior to sufferage/feminsim, but Karen Straughn has done a good job laying out why that may not be the case.

There's something known as the "halo effect," which is a psychological phenomenon in which people ascribe positive characteristics to someone based on nothing more than predisposition or positive bias. TRP is trying to counteract the existing halo effect that women enjoy.

I'm honestly surprised you even remember me, given how inconsequential my comment and presence was. This all happened something like a year ago. My point was not to censor people. I get that the point of TRP is to speak freely in a way men rarely are able to do. My contribution to that discussion was that I didn't think the slang was merited. Maybe I just have a habit of playing devil's advocate, since I was banned from r/feminism every bit as quickly. The shame of it is, TRP has genuinely been …

I honestly think I've seen either a 50/50 mix of pro-gay/anti-gay posts there, and considering that more than half of the user base is likely under 17, that's actually more tolerant than I would expect. Regardless, I think my ban was stupid, and I think I would have had a fair amount to offer. I honestly don't think TRP hates women, at least the people who genuinely understand what it's trying to say. Again, half of that user base is in their teenage years. Those folks who are actually in their …

I don't know if I would go that far. I've seen posts that are much more accepting about other races/sexual orientations. I do think that their decision to ban me was highly unimpressive, though. And frankly their threshold was even lower than the feminism sub, the folks who are supposed to be unbending and dogmatic and intolerant of opposing views.

I was also permabanned from TRP after one post. Someone went on a long rant in the comment section about "so and so it's a faggot and he's faggy" etc. and I said "is the homophobic language really necessary?" BOOM LIFETIME BAN I get that they don't want tone police, but I happen to be bi and genuinely wanted to be a part of the community and the language truly was out of place EDIT: I was also banned from r/feminism after one post criticizing the "1 in 5" rape statistic.

I see what you're getting at, but I don't think it's motte and bailey, because the motte and bailey involves something of a deliberate bait and switch. The women I'm familiar with don't generally launch vague accusations of patriarchy and then retreat under the umbrella of "it's insane that conservatives want to ban the pill." They live entirely in the realm of "it's insane that conservatives want to ban the pill." That, however, is purely anecdotal. Does it happen with women outside my peer gro…

It's not clear whether they "sacrifice" their career or they simply have the ability to work less at lower stress jobs and exercise that option. Frankly, if I didn't have to work in a professional field because my SO was a fountain of money, I'd work 25 hours a week and fuck around a lot, too.

It's not that you can't trust social scientists in general, but you have to be VERY careful about how you read statistics. For example, the source cited by OP has a passage that reads: He found that, when a man leaves a childless marriage, his income immediately rises by 25%. Consider this statement. When a man gets a divorce, does he go to work the next day and successfully demand a 25% raise on average? It's clear that this statistic is being couched in language that is not fully revealing its…

In my experience, a lot of divorced women don't really go after assets when they divorce. The divorced women I know really just wanted to get the hell out and on with their lives. That being said, if I were a woman, it would be really tempting to utilize the enormous slant in the laws in my favor.

The problem with your premise here is that "feminism" refers to an incredibly wide range of belief systems. It's a term that, at this point, is as broad as the term "sports." There are sports like chess and sports like UFC. When someone says they're a "feminist," you really know almost nothing about them. Is the hyper-victimized tumblr feminism that is obsessed with identifying all the possible ways in which they may be victimized by "microaggression" an unhealthy viewpoint? I would say yes. I w…

Most reasonable RP folks admit that AWALT is not exactly literally true. The purpose of AWALT as a principal is that it prepares men to operate from a somewhat defensive standpoint and avoid making themselves too vulnerable too quickly based on a preconceived notion of a woman's innocence or good intentions. That approach is understandable to an extent, but could also forseeably cause teenagers to be a little too defensive a little to quickly and possibly cost themselves opportunity.

It can be either/both. Small point of order, but you've mistakenly used the word "proof" when you meant "evidence." Proofs only apply to mathematics. When considering a question as nebulous as this, one must examine as much evidence as is available and establish a position corresponding to the weight of the evidence. The reason I bring all of this up is that social research is ALWAYS going to have a ton of "*s" next to the study results. It relies heavily on self-reporting or other metrics with tons of possible cohort…

The principle thrust of my point was that if you aim to be an author, it should be apparent from even your casual writing that you can write at the level of a C- high school student. I actually think u/GLO is a benefit to the community insofar as he's constantly offering advice regarding lifting and fitness, and that's really valuable. Dominance. Increased muscle mass gives automatic dominance in male-male and male-female interactions that general fitness do not provide. Those automatic subconscious functions that respond to muscle mass again, males will show more deference, females will notice. You sound like Mac talking about why it's important to tack on mass. I agree generally that lifting is a good thing but I can't help but chuckle about the way you talk about it.

I have a pretty unusual story, and some of it will sound a bit self-aggrandizing, but I’ll try to mitigate that as I tell the brief version. I have always had success with women, but it escalated in high school when I started lifting 3x/week for baseball. When I got to college, it was just a clusterfucksplosion of drugs and threesomes and ridiculous times. Your grammar is also poor. You should read things after you write them. This guy is posting around reddit about how he is starting a brand based on his online "I'm a super dick" persona. He's just here promoting himself and insulting people to make money, which apparently includes plans to write a book, hence the relevance of my criticism.

Not remotely. I will NEVER date a woman whose goal is to take my money and stay home with it. I have no interest in ever bankrolling anyone's lifestyle, despite the fact that I make a great living in finance. I can't imagine trying to have a long term partner who did not work outside the home, it would get so BORING. If you never leave the house, your world is just tiny. The sexual revolution was no doubt for the best.

Emma is lying through her teeth. If you look further into the story, you'll find that she only reimagined their interactions as rape once she was dating a new boy. My guess is she was ashamed of taking it in the pooper as a freshman and when it came up with her new beau, she admitted to having anal sex but "definitely didn't want to." That snowballed into "I'M A RAPE VICTIM." The messages sent between those two are not some far fetched attempt at hysterical bonding, the tone and familiarity did …

That is, physics is amoral, and should be studied without interference from moral considerations. Same applies to sexual strategy. I think this makes sense to some extent, but the problem is you're not being consistent. I agree that studying atomic physics is amoral, but using atomic weapons is not an amoral action. Similarly, discussing various sexual strategies is amoral, but employing various sexual strategies is not. Rape is a sexual strategy. Rape will get you laid. Rape is not an amoral ac…

This aligns with my own views very well. The power of the Red Pill is that it breaks a silence around issues that genuinely do not get discussed effectively anywhere else. Divorce rape is a prime example. TRP genuinely changed my view on my desire to get married- it's simply a bad financial contract. You have everything to lose and little to gain, and the woman has every incentive to become pregnant during marriage, because it ensures her a baseline level of financial security for some period of…

I made a similar thread not long ago. The prevailing answer (ignoring the outliers) was something to the degree of "not literally all women are like that, but the principal applies well enough that acting as though it's true is still effective."

A hell of a lot of posters who are active in TRP are sexually frustrated and unsuccessful with women. There are plenty of people who do not fit that mold, but there are a LOT of posts there to the effect of "I tried TRP and had sex for the 2nd time. Also, I went to the gym for the first time ever today."

The funny thing is, the truth is more or less the opposite. I've always had success with women, ranging back as far as elementary school. College especially was a nonstop fuckfest. I've literally had more threesomes than I can stop and recall. Looking back, there are some red pill principles that I probably applied without realizing it, but it was never something I really had to stop and think about. 1) I'm self-employed. I don't report to any "corporate boss" 2) I'm in great shape. 3) Are you really so tiny-minded that you can't imagine people having more exciting goals than banging? I've been playing music for a decade. I have family members that are professionals. Becoming a great musician is an exciting pursuit. Having sex with random women like I'm perpetually in college is kind of boring by comparison. 4) You talk like a villain from a bad 80's movie.

I fundamentally disagree with what TRP considers "success" with women. It seems to just be about jizzing in some girl whenever you see fit to. That seems like kind of a juvenile goal for anyone over the age of 25. I can see why it appeals to people who have never been able to have casual sex, but once you've accomplished that 15-20 times (which you do not have to be especially competent or attractive to do), I really don't see how it maintains people's attention. It's really not all that great. …

Here's a tl;dr for folks: -Successful women have all the options in the world through their 20s, and use that time to pursue the best looking men on a short-term basis -The same women, once they arrive in their 30s, find it quite difficult to find a marriagable partner, because the same alpha males they used to bang are now banging younger women -There are a lot of career women that assumed that their dating options would always be as robust as they were in their 20s and are coming to find that …

Generally this is a good response, which I do appreciate. Spreading misery to whom? The women I've slept with certainly weren't miserable. Unless "fuck me fuck me harder" is a sign of misery. Maybe I'm spreading misery to the married man, but is this not counter-balanced by the happiness I'm giving his wife? Would this not constitute a "net-zero-sum" in the misery department?
