Unfortunately I learned that the bulk of my friendships were incredibly toxic and I have almost no friends left because I refused to be a fairweather friend only. I think this also depends on the mother. I know some people who grew up with absolute monsters for mother's and those women deserved all the hate and disrespect that came their way once their children were free.
