6	Declining birth rates around the world Japan is not as open to immigrants compared to, let's say, to the USA. The language barrier is also a problem. While english is not an easy language, luckily it is widely used. For the japanese themselves, one of the biggest societal issue they have is long working hours culture. It is known that working culture in Japan is hard. While it can be good for the economy, it is not good for building a family. Money is not enough. Family also needs time.
