3	Dating lower It's to protect who has the most to lose. Don't get joint accounts. Don't commingle money or inheritances or he can claim more in a divorce. If he stops working, get out or you may have to pay alimony. If he has a mental health disorder he may get alimony. If he gets a disabiling injury while married he may get alimony. 11	Dating lower I married "down" and we are divorced. Over time he grew resentful of my success in my career. (Eye roll) He liked the lifestyle enough to try for alimony and a payout as he "had grow accustomed to his lifestyle." - Didn't get either. I was never accepted by his family.
