Yep. I left a career I hated when I had my first child. Childcare is crazy expensive here and job prospects are 💩 so I went and got a master's degree in a field I'm passionate about and built a successful business from home and also do some freelance work. I'm still only part time but have no interest working full time. So I now work in two industries I'm passionate about and have a great work/life/family balance. My partner is the breadwinner but the girl in the video accurately describes how o…

I felt like that after I was broken up with and tried to "date" (I.e. Ended up getting used by guys). How you feel is a sign you need to take a break on dating and focus on yourself. Level up. Work on your self image and deepening the love and relationship you have with your self. It's longest and most important relationship you'll ever have. Also, your past experiences don't define you as a person, and certainly not your moral worth.

I have a short vagina. I can barely handle anything over five inches. It's probably the ONLY aspect of myself where it doesn't take much to satisfy me 😂

I had a long (though not particularly close) friendship with a guy disappear like a speck of dust in a strong breeze the second I mentioned I had a boyfriend. Extremely hurtful. He was my friend but I don't think I was his.

Yep ditto. I cringe to think back. Not that I behaved in a cringey way but more that I think my ego took a hit during that time.

It really is location dependent. I live in a Western country where the de facto laws are on par with marriage. There is no legal or fiscal benefit to marriage - the only exception is that marriage gives you power to make end-of-life decisions for your spouse (but it's circumvented by simply registering the relationship). I have been in a relationship for 15 years and do not want to get married. I do not plan to ever get married. We own our house outright, as well as a parcel of land by the beach…

I used to be very self-conscious about it and then one day, I suddenly wasn't. Maybe it was an age thing - certainly wouldn't have done it in my early 20s. I took myself out for breakfast the other week - just me and a good book and I was not in the least bit self-conscious or aware of my loner status. I've taken myself out to the movies too.

If you look on the deadbedrooms sub, you'll see it's about 60/40 split - more women than men. It's a myth that most women don't want sex or have no/low libido. (Bet you can't guess what the main reason is for the majority of their husband/boyfriend's low libido 🙄)

My dad was so hands off. While loving and kind, he saw child rearing was women's work. Despite the fact my Mom worked full time in the same STEM field as him. He was a workaholic who did insanely long hours then after he and my Mom split, he moved to a different country when I was 9 🙄 I was very specific when I was first pregnant as to what my expectations were of my partner as a father. He is an amazing dad. Hands on and involved. But honestly... It comes down to how he was raised. His Mom had …

Duolingo is free and you can spend as little as five minutes a day and begin learning a new language. Make it aspirational. Is there a foreign language speaking country you've always wanted to visit? Start learning now so when you one day have the opportunity to go you will be prepared.

I think you can also include the natural ability to get along with a person in the second type of chemistry. Some people you meet you just have an instant accord with. And there's no awkwardness or stiltedness to conversations - you get each others humour and life philosophy. It's not limited to romantic relationships. Lots of friendships start this way too.

Total depravity. I remember her first day back to the office after he broke up with her. She stormed in, angrily tore his photo from where it was pinned on her cubicle and threw it in the trash. She wasn't even sad - just raging. Definitely channelled it into a better future for herself!

The emotional attachment is fine - I think it's part of being in a relationship and to be expected - provided it's at healthy levels. It's the emotional dependence that's the problem. For me, it means I frequently check in with myself - I ask myself: "What would I do if my partner left me tomorrow? Would I cope?" and "Who am I outside my significant other?". I am not my relationship. I am independent and have goals and a life outside my significant other. I am whole without my partner. I am capa…

Damn straight. My partner is on a wait list to have one. In the mean time, I've said hell-no to hormonal birth control because I refuse to sacrifice my comfort/mental and physical health in order to have sex (hormonal BCs makes my PMDD much worse). So condoms it is. It's a nice change to have the man in a relationship be solely responsible for the birth control!

I worked with a woman whose husband literally left her in the same conversation when she told him she had breast cancer. She survived it twice. She bought herself a house. Got a new dog. Found a new man who adores her and bends over backwards for her.

It's awful. I will never subject myself to hormonal birth control ever again. I have PMDD and literally every type I tried made me an even bigger mess. But you know what else is brilliant about condoms? No messy post-sex clean up for the woman. Not to the extent of unprotected sex, at least. It's up to the man to deal with condom. I can relax and he has to deal with taking it off, wiping up etc..

I did read her other post and it didn't ring true (extremely well written narrative, replies in comments detailed and over-explained), so I checked her profile - new account and the only other post was a question posted here almost 24hrs after her original one on RA. She was asking how to raise her daughter using a redpill ideology.
