There are plenty of industries where subordinates earn more than their immediate superiors. If they have a technical skill that the manager doesn't have, they're the ones creating the actual revenue, not the manager. Why shouldn't they make more? Been there done that and even male management gets pissy and vindictive when a subordinate has more knowledge and skill and therefore is compensated appropriately. If you're in one of the states with a State Defense Force, check them out. A SDF is the state's militia. Most are unpaid but get a few perks. A couple of states do pay their SDF soldiers.
