Note that in your example, knowledge isn’t causative, it’s correlated. Anyhoo….

100% of people who confuse correlation with causation wind up dead!

Exactly my first thought. The only person in this world that knows how much I make is my wife. Very odd thing to mention at a bar. It's quite possible her face fell because she thought "TruNorth556 the type of guy that talks about how much they make" rather than the number itself. I'd say likely, even.

Again, is that really fair logic? I'm a big fan of having clean places,& I dont think that being a cleaner is a good job. I don't want to date a cleaner. Am I anti-cleaner? Really?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/24 01:29 PM

They're comparatively shit jobs; working conditions aren't great, pay isnt great, career progression isnt great, social status associated with them isnt great, and the people you meet on the job aren't really my tribe. And I want someone who has a high-paying, high-status job, that takes us places. Is that talking shit about those other jobs? Not sure that it is, no.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/24 12:38 AM

I mean, no. I don't want the woman in my life cleaning toilets for a living, or driving a truck, or being in the army, or any of a load of other shitty jobs. I definitely still want clean toilets everywhere I go, things delivered in trucks, and my country protected by women, and all the other shit jobs done! It just aint the same.

You sound like your idea of strippers comes from movies rather than strip clubs.

I'd probably add that escort sex isnt better or worse than unpaid sex, it's just different. Less intimate, but more porn-y, in my experience. Depends if that floats your boat or not.

Yeah, I am same as you. Have slept with maybe 50+ escorts/prostitutes etc. Have had 3female and 1male escort as flatmates (met them due to totally separate life paths, these were not the ones I slept with!), 1 former escort as wife (didn't meet her until well after she left the game), 1 escort as long term girlfriend (whilst she was escorting still), and yeah, its like you said IMHO. Some are into the sex for sexual reasons, some are into it for financial reasons, some like the power, some like …

Well.. you sound like someone who hasn't tried it, to be fair. OP has, and that makes it a quite different perspective. Obviously it's totally different to sex with a girlfriend, but, it's also not like you seem to think it is.

Well.. a sex doll is pretty creepy. A fleshlight is pretty much exactly the same category/concept of thing as a vibrator. Doesn't really make any sense to equivocate them.

I mean, there is an actual clinical literature on giving heroin addicts heroin. It worked really well. Less overdoses, more jobs, better mental health, better physical health, less crime. And that is definitely of relevance to this discussion in that actually empirically testing wether or not bot access reduces bad behaviour in those with issues, or, increases it. Speculation isnt worth jackshit, it will need to be measured and tested.

OK, but what about the sex workers you met? What % of them would you say share your view?

I mean, of course it can be true! I'm male, happily married, and I carry on in much the same way about weightlifting, being ripped, being fit, etc etc. The thing is, my wife doesn't give a F about that particular aesthetic/look - it's just not her thing. And I am not any sort of cheater, I am right into her, and its mutual. So yeah, I spend a lot of time "looking good" that is mostly for me. Its certainly not to attract women.

I’d say “business owner” in any area that’s either cool, or, socially beneficial. Heaps of business owners are broke AF, but people often just assume that entrepreneurs are rich.

Because then you end up with the sort of woman who goes to Church.

Well, its' a stretch to say "men won't date women who earn more than them" when in the results in the study cited, 31% do, and this rate is climbing rapidly. The statistician in me is also riled up that that article did not report anything at all regarding the baseline difference in gender wages, in whatever way would have been most relevant to that article. E.g. we do know that on average men earn more than women. Ergo, in a hypothetical thought experiment, if "who earns more" made no differenc…

My god dude, if I had looked like you after 6 years of lifting I would have quit. I can't imagine someone who looks like you being all conceited about their physique and thinking that they have "something to offer"!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
