Lol what? This is pretty reductive. Academia isn't "overrun by leftists", rather it's established people propagating their own ideas. Especially everything in economics is run by pretty mainstream neoliberal people. Academia lives by setting up hypotheses that can be falsified. Admitting attraction requires a certain amount of trust. It's a defense mechanism to say "Well, I didn't find them attractive anyways". It stems usually from low self-esteem and narcissism. So they propagate this rhetoric in the hopes of getting men (or women respectively) to lower their self-esteem too. Women have been taught that their age is an important indicator of their attractiveness, so someone who specifically identifies with being +30 is likely to have self-esteem issues

It usually does mean that, even if they don't admit it. But then later they say shit like "not all men, but always a man". They don't focus on rich businessmen or politicians that surpresss womens rights, they focus on every man in a relationship, every man who's a father etc Intersectional feminism fixes these issues to some extent, but it is also a fringe movement within feminism

These drama subs like AmIOverreacting have mostly women as members. So they create an echo chamber where they defend their in-group and villify the out-group The fact that this happens so reliably with womens subreddits actually tells me that there isn't much inequality between men and women (on reddit). Because if you compare it to minority subs (with people that are actually opressed), like blackpeopletwitter, they aren't nearly as hateful towards outgroups

It's with all subs that are catered towards a specific demographic, but mainly based on gender. Same with subs dedicated to men: grifters will see an opportunity when there's generally talk about the people who are NOT included (the whole point of such a sub) and they radicalize people even further.
