The whole point is convenience. You get dropped off exactly where you need to go rather than having to find and pay for somewhere to park and then walk to where you want to go.

I would still argue that making everyone collectively do the least work (roughly 0.5 moves per visit) is more considerate than making everyone collectively do the most work (always 2 moves per visit). It's not even slightly close amount of work when you consider how many people use the toilet and how often they do so.

By putting it down you are making it about gender because the only reason to put the seat down is based on genders.
