Don't forget negging! Men must love it because they do it all the time. Be sure to really crush his self-esteem.

It's only a joke or prank if both people think it's funny and it isn't hurting anyone, otherwise it's just abuse.

Lol yeah. I used to live with 2 male roommates and it was kinda hilarious. We had a deal where I did all the cooking (I really love to cook and I'm good at it plus I hate cleaning with a passion) and they do all the cleaning, buy all the groceries, take out the trash, dishes, etc. It actually worked out really well once they realized if they fucked up on either getting the wrong thing or not at all their meals sucked. After that they were super attentive and would also bring me things I liked wh…

I'm also autistic and I feel what you're saying. I have been extremely lucky to find a partner who likes alone time more than I do, who gives me space, does emotional labor, and who is just generally an awesome person. We currently share a tiny one bedroom apartment, which is difficult because she works from home and I have zero time in the house to myself, although we have different sleep schedules so I get alone time, just not with an empty house. We both agree the ideal situation would be a 2…

I had a FWB situation in high school with someone who did a lot of drugs. He was my best friend, easy to get along with, cute, and good with sex stuff. I told him I would date the shit out of him if he committed to stay sober but I understood drugs were important to him so I was willing to do FWB when he was sober only, so call me when he's sober, otherwise I'm pretending he doesn't exist. It worked and it was a nice distraction but boundaries are important. He was never abusive, never lied, and…

You shouldn't have to ask or nag to get things done. A true partner will do things for you without you even realizing they need to be done and without expecting a reward, simply because they love you and want your life to be easier. I never realized how bad men were at this until I started dating women. I am constantly surprised by the things my partner has been doing for me without me realizing, only that my life runs smoothly now. Even the best of guys make a big deal of helping so they get re…

Scientific studies show getting married increases male life expectancy while decreasing female life expectancy. If you want to get married, make sure he is really really worth it and you aren't sacrificing your extra years and sanity for nothing.

After I got kicked out of home when I was a kid I worked 2 jobs, finished high school, put myself through college debt free (it took 9 years for a 4 year degree but I did it). I have a good job that pays a living wage and an amazing HVW fiancee. I've been though therapy and left an abusive relationship. I've dealt with a lot of things in life and I've survived without turning to drugs and alcohol or suicide.

At my old job a guy who worked security (most of his job was driving women to their cars at night) admitted to me he just got out of jail for the second time for "another rape misunderstanding". He said he was surprised he got the job because he disclosed his full history to HR. I might have left a note with HR. I certainly hope he no longer works there and I'm glad I don't.

I used to wear large visible headphones (turned off because I was reading a book and I can't multitask) on my lunch break just to be left alone. I can't tell you how many guys took my headphones off to talk to me. Different time I was in a library cuddling with my girlfriend while we did work on our computers, both of us had headphones on to avoid noise and male attention. I felt someone stroking my arm for a few minutes and I thought it was my partner but when I looked it was a random guy tryin…

I am a radical feminist but most of my friends are liberal feminists. Personally I appreciate when men are allies, listen to us, and help fight for our rights, but the vast majority have their own agenda. At this point I just straight up don't trust men and don't want them involved in my life at all except for a rare few. 95% of liberal feminist men I know have used feminism to pressure women into sexual things they didn't want to do. The more rabid "feminists" ones are the worst offenders. Even…

100% of the time I've starfished it's because I wasn't consenting and had disassociated to just get it over with or was afraid of fighting back or just gave up fighting. Don't like starfish? Only have sex with people who enthusiastically consent!

The rates of domestic abuse among police officers in the US are terrifying. If you date a police officer be careful. His position can also make it dangerous to leave an abusive situation.

What makes me mad is even if they have kids at 50 years old there's a 50% chance they will die of old age before the kid gets to 20 years old. How shitty is that? Imagine being that kid. Dad can't pick you up and play with you. You're caring for him in your teens. Maybe he had dementia already.

I think I was around 16 at the time and was an out lesbian with a girlfriend. I was wandering around downtown with some friends and would regularly befriend anyone near our age who dressed similar (goth). We met this guy who looked our age but turned out be be in his 40s (found out later). I was not flirting, just being a friendly person. We all came over to my place where I made crepes and we all got dressed up in drag and makeup then went back out. I hardly talked to the guy at all and he seem…

The best thing my mom ever said to accidentally inspire me to succeed was, "be careful about being too smart because men find it unattractive". I'm a lesbian and I teach STEM. For the straight/bi ladies: If a man is turned off by your intelligence or success he isn't emotionally mature for a relationship.

Also, if you are sexually active with men make sure you use at least 2 forms of birth control (especially if you aren't willing to get an abortion or live somewhere it is illegal or difficult). Having a baby as a teen can make it very difficult to finish school, get out of a bad relationship, and earn money. In addition, condoms protect against a lot of STIs when used correctly (bring your own, check expiration date, don't leave them in a hot environment or in a pocket or wallet) and look into g…

Consent and mutual attraction are more important than catering to someone's kinks. There is no situation where people should pressure you to do something sexual you aren't into or be intimate with someone you aren't attracted to.

Not just the way they look, but women are trained by society to support their partner in a relationship. Way easier to find a high value woman than a high value man, even when you factor in the decreased dating pool.

I was underage and got kicked out of home for being a lesbian. This 30 year old pedo male knew I wasn't attracted to men but let me stay with him and pressured me into being his girlfriend. Lots of sexual assault, eventually got me to pay half rent while I was working minimum wage and putting myself through high school. I paid for all groceries and cooked a lot and cleaned. He was overweight, sweaty, and smelled like ass because he didn't wash it. All his pants had skidmarks, the mattress was ve…

What we should say is, "Women attempt suicide way more often than men. Men have a higher success rate because they have increased access to guns. Plus they are waaaay more likely to take women and children with them."

For me it's any symptoms of BPD. My mom had it and it's super triggering. This means someone who is overly clingy, gets paranoid, and gaslights me. Also anyone who insults me or my interests. Friends should raise each other up and encourage to be their best selves while respecting everyone's boundaries and not making up drama where there is none.

Age gap relationships are toxic. I got stuck in one when I was underage and he was 30. Shortly after I became an adult he was no longer attracted to me and kept being creepy at underage girls. So glad I left. Recently he said he wanted to adopt a little girl. I'm keeping tabs and plan on contacting child protective services if he makes any progress. Another thing I've noticed is I grew and matured as a person but he did not. He then kept accusing me of hiding my true self and felt betrayed, but …

Every single man I ever dated was a NiceGuy™. Turns out I'm just not attracted to men at all and was dating the ones who pressured me into it because otherwise why bother? Guess what? Those NiceGuys™ who don't respect your boundary of "I'm not attracted to you." also push other boundaries (rape/stalking/violence/etc.). Society tells us we need to give every man a chance at happiness, and it took me a long time to learn it but I'm not obligated to. My body is my own and I'm only giving it to peop…

Another thing they don't consider is that women who are raped are often raped a lot and by multiple men over the years. Men who rape tend to rape a lot. Psychological studies show that the majority of men would rape if it wasn't called rape and if there were no consequences for their actions. I've been sexually assaulted a lot over the years and I've noticed that among my friends who have been assaulted have been assaulted a lot started when they were kids and we were also often raised poor. We weren't dating. I was dating a woman at the time and we were just friends. He actually broke down and started crying saying he was questioning everything his parents raised him to believe and went on to try to change their minds. He said, "I've started to realize that maybe all Jews shouldn't die and can be cool people but just shouldn't breed with pure white people." That guy was something else. Way back in my more promiscuous days I used to classify relationships as: friend, friend I have sex with (fwb), best friend, best friend I have sex with (dating), person I have sex with but don't want to hang out with otherwise (casual sex). I don't understand how people aren't friends with their exes because if I like someone enough to date them it means they are my best friend and they don't stop being my best friend just because we don't want to have sex anymore. I don't understand how in fic…

Yes exactly! I'm pretty close to aro myself and relationships are so much work. People need to focus on "dating themselves" and being good to yourself instead of putting all that energy into another person hoping they'll do it back. Also you don't need to bang someone to have a fulfilling close friendship.

If there was, then people would have figured it out by now. :( I've known a few women to get lucky and date trans men who managed to avoid absorbing toxic masculinity while growing up. I also know a few "straight" women who only date very butch stone tops (they don't like reciprocation in bed and present/act masculine but have the upbringing and emotional intelligence of women, so you get oral/strap-on, etc. but no risk of pregnancy or have to give blowjobs). The important thing is to be honest …

Highly recommended. I hang out on FDS to remind me of how good I have it now. Even the best male partner was downright abusive compared to the average female one. Imagine shared emotional labor and dating someone who is always thinking of ways to make your life easier and better because she cares about you. Imagine a partner who pays attention to what you like and remembers it. Imagine a partner who knows how your anatomy works. The only downside is if you both can have multiple orgasms you don'…

I dated a guy who would regularly fly into a rage and destroy my things but never his own things, even though he was mad because he stubbed his toe or something random that was 100% his fault. The first time he did it I told him if he ever hit me I would immediately leave him. He said he was 100% in control but just chose to let his anger out on objects. I realized later when he never destroyed his own stuff that it was probably true. He also always chose things I had spent a lot of time on or h…
