Assuming you can define a woman in the first place.

Point of order: equality is taking the same amount of shit as everyone else. The only reason men don't complain about the shit they have to take on the regular is because they're conditioned not to.

I hate that phrase, particularly when it's used by feminists. Like, how do you even know what equality or oppression feels like? To me (as a woman), I live with imposter syndrome. Have for 20 years. I wonder every single day if people are being nicer or judging me more kindly for being a woman because they don't want to be accused of sexism. That's not equality. But I don't feel oppressed. Quite the opposite.

The thing that I hate is that they only want you to have an opinion if you agree with them. Gatekeeping on opinions is some old bullshit.

I subscribe to one of those companies that send prescription birth control pills as a matter of course. They sent out an insufferable email about how they were "appalled" by this turn of events, and would naturally make emergency contraception available to anyone who asks for it.

They're basically looking for any incel or incel adjacent stuff to pin violence against women on. Which will of course, in the stretching reach of blue agenda, necessarily come to encompass any talk about "women being bitches" or "women suck". Oh Christ. CBS has this show called "Evil", where in one episode, a kid (not a bad looking kid, and yes, this is important), asks out a girl in a coffee shop, and the girl turns him down. The main villain (who is a literal demon, thus the name of the show)…

politits thinks I'm blaming victims, but I'm not. I'm blaming careless, misleading, politicized rhetoric for discouraging women from reporting, and for not telling women, "even if your case goes nowhere, his name will be on a file and that might help his next victim get justice." It's not victim blaming to say "You made a choice, and that choice was not to report it. You're not responsible for what happened to you, but you should feel some responsibility for what happens next."

See...this stuff right here perpetuates the cycle. It doesn't help women. If women keep pushing this idea that women are constantly helpless and frightened of the world around them, it reinforces the idea that men, in their pre-determined gender roles MUST look after them. Because women are so weak and they can't look after themselves, you see. So then women - at least the ones who only seem to hear messages like this - take these messages and assume that the world is such a terrible place for t…

I wanted a good place to share a post that I shared in r/cmv. I think this as good a place as any: I responded to someone whose mantra was "teach the men" about the subject of rape. Teach women that's it's okay to report that they were assaulted or raped. Teach women that the experience is uncomfortable but not "re-traumatizing" and people will believe them. Teach women that it isn't okay to not report the crime to the law, and report it on social media so that the court of public opinion is inv…

Yeah, and what's worse is that it's basically giving the green light to punish and reward people who didn't do anything wrong or didn't have anything wrong done to them. I'm not saying there isn't any sexism, but the opportunities I've been given in life by men outweigh the number of sexist men I've encountered, but by the way people talk, it's like there's a sexist monster lurking in the heart of every man just waiting for a reason to do something awful to a woman. And, to use the words of thos…

I'm seeing so many posts on this on my Facebook feed (especially from science based organizations) that are "committed to equality!" Truth is, the only ones who care aren't the ones that are on the ground doing the work. They're the ones that care about what they look like to people who aren't doing the actual work, either. I wish more people who actually do the work day after day would speak up and say, "Do you want to get in here and see what we have to deal with and then tell me that somehow …

This is what bothers me about commercials that say things like "girls are made to walk for miles to get water for their families" and "girls don't get an education" and "girls are being taken as child brides". Well...are the boys being treated like kings? More than likely, the boys are probably doing back-breaking work on the farms, and are likely to be supporting their families if the father isn't present. Maybe being kidnapped to be soldiers for war. And those child brides? Sure, that's a prob…

That's why the sheer amount of feel-goodism that came out of the March really irritates me. One person I know posted a sign that said something to the effect of "I'd hate to be the guy that pisses off these women." Why? What is anyone supposed to be intimidated by? What positive change was made? What was accomplished? Just people saying "We hate Trump." That's it. It's like how in South Park with the hippies: How are we fighting The Man? Jam HARDER!

I can be as meaningful as I want. If I start telling people that I thought the Women's March was fatuous and really only happened to make people feel good and it will be forgotten in a week, I get banned, and silenced, and people start de-friending me. And thank you for your concern, but I think that I don't need a random internet stranger to tell me how to maintain sanity when I feel like I'm being surrounded by lunatics.

On a day where over 4 million PEOPLE have come together to protest a sexist, backwards new government leader, Yes, but HOW did they protest? With Twitter slogans and muddled messages that don't add up to a cohesive plan for legislation, culminating in an event that would make most serious politicians (and plenty of people) say "Well, that's cute, but what do you want us to DO about it?" This is literally a feminazi sub of the male gender now. I agree that at times this can be frustrating, BUT I …

The men's rights movement should take note of this. Why? Is there a condition under which people start feeling emotional and sympathetic feelings for men without qualification?
/r/MensRights27/11/16 09:42 PM

if you actually fix whatever it is you are campaigning against, then the leadership of that campaign immediately becomes irrelevant. That's also why the "win" conditions for feminism are so vague as to be never totally attainable.

They compare top dog men with average women. That's the thing about it, right? They complain, that, for instance, in order to achieve equality, women must be able to break the biggest glass ceiling of them all, being President of the United States. Here's the problem with that, of course. It's not that it's terribly exclusive to women. It's quite exclusive to men as well. How many men are not qualified to be President, for whatever reason from the reasonable ("Doesn't represent any particular po…

there was a high school football team there, in full gear and high heels And somewhere in the distance I can her a feminist complain that women are expected to wear high heels and can't choose to wear comfortable footwear because it's an expectation that women must "look good" in order to be successful.

I'm of two minds about this. On one hand, she could withhold support and show principles, but on the other, the Democrats are very scared of a Trump presidency and she, like many voters, feel they're backed into a corner. The sad part is, I can actually kind of understand it. I don't agree with it and I don't support it, but I get it. Believe me, I'd like nothing better than not to have Trump as President, but the alternative is Hillary? It sounds like a bad Reddit joke.

Okay, if Elizabeth Warren is suddenly running, then sure! Oh...oh, you meant Hillary Clinton...um, well, this is awkward...

And more than that, he's got this thing about never being ashamed of his failures. Hillary always looks suspicious when she thinks the public thinks she's done something wrong. Once she starts getting embattled when Trump has something on her that she thinks will make her look bad with her focus groups, she's going to stumble and never regain her footing.

I wouldn't argue that those things make it "enough". She has every right to pursue higher office. However, as I tell many people, she got her ass handed to her by a black man with a funny name in 2008 and couldn't put away a socialist Jew easily in 2016. By now, she ought to know that this country really doesn't like her, and if the vote goes to Trump in November, I consider it 100% on her shoulders.

That's the horrifying thing...people are actually buying this. Like her or hate her, Clinton is an extraordinary woman (in the sense of "had a more privileged life than an ordinary woman"). She has had the privilege of holding or being close to many high-level positions in her life. If there were a true sexist monster out there keeping women from the presidency, how the hell could she possibly be a viable candidate? It's like that rich girl you knew in high school that complained her parents wou…

Use their own language: say it's a "microaggression". I've said the same thing about a hashtag that was making the rounds last week ("MaybeHeDoesntHitYou", re: emotional and psychological abuse). I don't know, I mean, last I checked, Mean Girls was a thing precisely because that was the thing that people said girls did. And it isn't like someone who is rewarded for that behavior - male or female - is going to give it up as an adult when it worked so well for them before. So why does the hashtag …

Here's the thing that I don't get: humoring the people who call themselves like "dragon-kin", don't you still have the pronouns "him" and "her" and related? I mean, dragons are male and female, right?

Well, I DO hate having a period and I'm not going to hold it up as a sacred symbol of femininity. I guess I hate myself. Damn, and I thought I was going to have a good day today. Someone pass the Ben and Jerry's...I'm going deep.

Further proof that feminists fish for reasons to be pissed off at men. Your SO doesn't like buying pads or tampons? Must mean that deep down they hate all women, right? Or maybe, just maybe, given that having a period is rather a personal experience that someone who isn't the person having it wouldn't understand (and periods are unique not only to women, but, for many, month to month for each woman as well) that men don't want to buy the wrong thing for fear of being insensitive to a woman's dis…

I figured the best feminist movie ever would be Mary (mother of Jesus) and Mary Magdalene talking about shoes. Difficulty: need to find ways of implying that Mary is the mother of Jesus without actually mentioning who Jesus is.

I love me some Elizabeth Warren. I would quit my job to work for her for absolutely nothing if it meant learning how to serve the public good at that level.
/r/MensRights16/02/16 12:34 AM

That's the thing, isn't it? She wants the benefits of being protected as a woman, but when the rubber hits the road and the job needs to get done, the most powerful person on the planet needs a bunch of white-knighting? I admit, I probably don't have the mettle to be president myself, but if I did, the last thing I'd be doing is crying to the press about the inherent virtues and detracting stereotypes of being female (from which springs the dog-whistle cries of needing to provide special privile…

Yeah, well, if Hillary had any fucking integrity (snerk) she'd admit that (on the identity politics front) that being female doesn't fucking matter, and she would deflect from it being an issue. I can guarantee the reason that people like Warren is because if there IS any particular record of her making a big deal about being female, those records are dwarfed by her public stances on everything else, so much so that if she were, say Elijah Warren instead, there wouldn't be a discernible differen…

And no one, but no one, is holding up Carly Fiorina as an example of someone who's taken a lot of "sexist" criticism. In tech circles, every time her name is mentioned, there is a seething, blistering need to eviscerate her to everyone within earshot. There is not a single person that has EVER said that the criticism against her is sexist.

Eh, it's douchey for him to tell stories about celebrities that are more famous than he is to "take them down a peg" as it were, but Bruce Willis is also a known nightmare. I'd say it's a fairly even tie.

Ugh. I had a fight with a woman on Facebook not too long ago about that awful Sheryl Sandberg quote that says you shouldn't call a girl "bossy"; you should instead tell her she has "leadership qualities". I asked her, what if the girl in question IS bossy and that certain behavior shouldn't be encouraged? She says "what man is ever called 'bossy'?" I replied: "We weren't talking about grown men. And men get called far worse things because they're expected to suck it up." (I didn't say this, but …

I was actually fine with him backing down and letting BLM show their asses. Because after that, people were scrutinizing him and asking if he had something to hide, and what came of it? The news was all like "yeah, see, here's the thing, he's got this record on civil rights, and it's pretty solid". I'd like to believe he was giving them rope to hang themselves with.

Shit like this...because no man has ever been cuckolded in a serious, non-sexual way before. Sure, micro-aggressions are bad for women, but men just need to "man up" when they're taking abuse?
/r/MensRights01/01/16 02:41 PM

Nah, it'll just be used to justify more feminism. More women die, so we'll be subjected to more social media bombing of the idea that men need to be proactive in keeping women from dying, as if, you know, they're not having too much trouble keeping themselves from dying in combat situations.
/r/MensRights20/12/15 04:55 PM

Thus the contradiction of the movement. Men have privilege, but feminism helps men with the problems that they apparently don't have because of their privilege in the first place. So, either they're lying to cover their asses, or they haven't given a lot of thought to what they're saying.

But there aren't enough women in Government to discuss women's issues, naturally. Men aren't allowed to speak for women. But women can dictate all they want about how men should act and feel.

People who burn books - ANY book - are morally reprehensible. I don't have anything that resembles a religion in life, but there are things that I hold sacred. Education is one of those things. The printing press is, to my mind, one of the greatest devices ever created by mankind. Because it was the first way to widely spread information to allow it into the hands of anyone, becoming an equalizer. And everyone has the right to information, no matter how much they agree or disagree with it. So, t…
