Men are less picky because our biological insctinct drives us towards having sex with as many fertile women as possible, as it's the best way our DNA is to survive. Women are more picky, because for their DNA to have the best options, they need to have healthy, strong children and ideally a partner that sticks by, and they can only have one child a year.

It is the same in most aspects. Married women should be better at it. ​ Men, however, don't have the tendency towards (either maliciously or lack of inner awareness) confuse "What traits attract me" from "What traits I'd like to have in people that attract me", so it's less of a fuckup to follow that advice.
