And women always come forward? There is no existing documentation that suggests male hesitancy even comes close to closing this gap, and enormous evidence for the gap existing. Feel free to actually provide some if you have it, though. It shouldn't be controversial to point to the obvious fact that women are subject to staggeringly more and more intense sexual harassment than men. If you ask scientists, the studies point to a significant gap. If you ask regular people, they'll overwhelmingly tel…

That's a ridiculous projection on your part. I'm not discounting male victims, I'm highlighting that, in a society where >90% of sexual abuse is committed by men, >90% of men are straight, and the average man is physically capable of dominating and victimizing the average woman, women are subject to a unique volume and style of harassment, a position which isn't controversial outside of terminally online reddit communities. The conclusion that we must ignore male victims because women are more o…

It's absolutely about quantity. The difference between infrequent situational harassment and frequent public harassment is staggering, and the fact that you can't see that speaks to the fact that you've never experienced it. I'm sure you're a fabulously attractive man who's spent at least ten minutes in "the hood", but these are complete non-sequiturs. The volume and intensity of harassment women are subject to is simply far greater than that of men, and is given teeth by the fact that men are s…

Men on here bitch about buying a woman a $6 coffee on a first date but assume all women are getting wined, dined, and chauffeured home

Attractive guys don't understand street harassment at all, because the average woman isn't significantly stronger and more aggressive than the average man. Cat-calling from women doesn't have the teeth that make cat-calling does, and a 10/10 man probably doesn't get half the harassment a 14yo girl would walking the same street

Anecdotally, I'm a man who always pays on the first date, and it works great. I guess my justification is that if I'm the one inviting her out I should at least offer to cover the cost because she's giving me her time and taking a chance on me, but really I just do it because I hate the awkward conversation or glances back and forth when the check comes. Even if she'd be fine splitting, it's less awkward to just grab it myself, even though I'm definitely below the median in wealth/salary. I thin…

Yeah this entire post reads like it comes from someone who only knows about women from online rage bait and doesn't know any IRL. I've never known a woman who was militant and obnoxious about being independent, but I've heard tons of stories from women I know about going on dates with men who started acting out because they were insecure that she was successful. Just recently one went on a date and offered to pay, and the man accepted but insisted she give him her credit card so he could give it…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
