So you're saying that feminists believe that employers actively employ people they believe are NOT the best person for the job, then pay them less because of it? They're saying that the reason why statistically speaking women earn less than men is because employers believe women don't deserve as much as a man, because they aren't doing as good a job, so pay women less than they would a man in the same position. Keep in mind, I don't believe this, and yes, there are plenty of flaws with the reaso…

At the end of the day your female muffins sales will be much higher. Only if people believe the female muffins are just as good as the male muffins, only different prices. Feminists are arguing that the female muffins cost less because they are believed to actually be less good. People are going to buy a more expensive muffin if they see a difference in quality, imagined or otherwise. Stop proving their toxic divisive crap right with poor argumentation.

I'm on your side of the argument but you must have been surrounded by some people with pretty poor critical thinking skills. Feminists are arguing women are paid less than men because they are perceived to do a worse job. Nobody is going to only hire individuals for 77% less pay if they only do 77% or less work (supposedly). Especially if they're only allowed to hire one person to do this particular job. Even more so when 100% of the workload means someone not being killed through incompetence. …

You think that, until you have a wife that's happy with both of those "M's", and wants to share them.

Reminder that recorded simulated rape scenes with any pornographic connotations are illegal in the UK. To make yourself or to distribute. Because also feminism. She could have been arrested for making that here.

I was referring to first world nations. South Africa is a first world nation The term is pretty meaningless really. I think the "teach men not to rape thing" is also stupid - but there exist people and societies that do teach people that rape is okay under certain circumstances. How many Americans think the rape of a violent criminal in a prison is okay do you think?

There is no prohibition of spousal or statutory rape, and the victim of the rapist is often punished as well.

Where am I wrong? From the Duluth Model's website; "When women use violence in an intimate relationship, the circumstances of that violence tends to differ from when men use violence. Men's use of violence against women is learned and reinforced through many social, cultural and institutional experiences. Women’s use of violence does not have the same kind of societal support... Their violence is used primarily to respond to and resist the violence used against them. On the societal level, women…

It's sort of fucked up given my post was backed up with an argument that is entirely factual. The "feminists" that downvoted me presumably don't have any idea who Erin Pizzey or Valerie Solanis are.

there is not a single person who believes rape is okay Um.. there are entire societies which think that. In enlightened Western societies perhaps you'd be hard pressed to find someone who genuinely thinks it's okay - but Saudi Arabia? Probably a whole bunch.

Feminism has positioned itself as the ideological enemy of the rights of men for ages. When the most widely adopted policy for Intimate Partner Violence prevention/reduction sees it as solely a "patriarchal" issue, and men as the instigators, we have a problem - especially as women commit IPV as much as men - more so when it's not reciprocal.

Men reported being “made to penetrate” at virtually the same rates as women reported rape

Women need to learn what rape is far more than men do. I.e - having sex with a man who can't consent is raping them.

The problem with the "teach men not to rape" position is that it ignores female perpetrators entirely, as does the Duluth Model itself. If it was "teach people not to rape" then it would be fine - but it's not. It's blindingly, disgustingly sexist - especially when it leads to attitudes that enable female abusers (even of children) to escape justice.

No they wouldn't get 60 years, it would be unlikely they would be raped or beaten, and definitely not the chair. This is the UK.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
