Grew up impoverished in modern America. I concur.

“This is a phase”... is very dismissive comment to make to an adult woman making a decision. No one is making that comment to a grown woman. She is a child. Children have phases. So what exactly are you on about?

Thank you! I’ll check some of these out

Save for maybe 4 states, the driving age for intermediate driving licensure is 16. That’s what I’ll go off of. No one advocated for child marriage or teenage motherhood, so I don’t see the point in your bringing it up. You stated she was a grown woman, she quite literally is not. Don’t know why you’re arguing. She can say she doesn’t want a child at 15, she can say she wants to have 6. Fact is, you change drastically from yourself at 15 and she has no idea what she’ll want in 15 years. I get thi…

She’s 15, she’s not “and adult woman”. She can’t even drive.

But she’s a 20 year old in college and knows a lot of SAHM “mombies”, so naturally she knows exactly what she’s talking about /s Her post is tone deaf at best.

So you’re projecting feelings on to them? They’ve never actually said that they felt pressured into getting married and having children? You realize there are a million causes of depression right? Postpartum being a huge contributor? You honestly seem like a pretty judgmental person given you don’t have any real experience on the subject of marriage, children and all that goes into it, but you’ve got a lot of opinions about your friends choices and seem to pity them despite them never indicating…

Why don’t more women that stay at home get into things like stock trading and e-commerce since they have so much time on their hands to learn? Oh sweet, sweet 20 year old childless college student. You were probably getting downvoted because this is a pretty tone deaf post. You keep implying that stay at home mothers have “so much time on their hands”, which is pretty much a dead give away that you don’t really understand what being a stay at home parent involves. If you’re referring to women wh…

The same reason any other sub group of people exist? Some women prefer to live more traditionally than others, and aren’t down with the third wave. In a society where that’s frowned upon and looked down on, you see groups like this pop up to support one another. People just need to learn to mind their business and let people live how they see fit.

That is so not how things work. You’re headed down a road of resentment and pain. You do not need to take your needs out of the equation to make a relationship successful, and if you believe you do in order to make the relationship successful, that relationship will never actually be successful. It is okay to find a man more compatible to yourself, and he could find a woman more complimentary to him. Don’t put yourself in this position.

We all know she meant “equal” as in “equal opportunities” or “not a second class citizen”. Let’s not be daft.

Usually I’d be inclined to agree, but these were very direct judgments and conversations I was having. Not too much wiggle room for misinterpretation in a lot of their words. Still, I’m sure these women are a bit special in their snark, I know not everyone is going to be like that. Also, she wasn’t judging me for driving a Honda, she did an over exaggerated double take and said “this is your car??l” in an overly shocked tone. As if a 25 year old SAHM couldn’t possibly be driving anything but a ‘…

This is something that has stood out to me as a SAHM. I loosely follow some of the mom subs on here and Facebook but I l’ve started to just scroll through most of it because there just isn’t any sort of encouragement to “be better” at anything. Like I get it, I have hyperactive 10 month old and my living room looks awful at 6pm every day, but I still try. I don’t celebrate when all I’ve gotten done was a load of dishes. I want to excel at my role in the household and I want to work on my own per…
