The childrens' routine and their current living situation will weigh strongly in a divorce. If they aren't there with you and don't live with you over the next year, my primary concern would be becoming an every other weekend father when the divorce does happen. It sounds like delaying might be advantageous financially. I would consult a lawyer.

When you get married. Then it gets complicated when you start trying to consult attorneys and find yoursef locked out because your wife already had consultations with the best firms. At some point someone files a petition for divorce. The 60 to 90 day window starts then.
