Thank you for your kind words but this what this community is about looking out for one another. But honestly I haven’t been doing this on my own. I have a therapist, I do CoDA, I constantly have to a lot of mindfulness and now trying some spiritual stuff but it hasn’t been a walk in the park Believe me but I am proud to always choose to live another day. I constantly share my story so feel free to check out my platforms.

I think everyone’s story is different the only common thing I see if that this has its ups and downs. But it’s up to us as individuals how we respond to our divorce. As a dad for 1 and and 1/2( my sons older brother isn’t mine but basically raised him since he was 2) I had the harder time with that. Being a father is very fundamental to my values and the thought of another man stepping into that role hurts me a lot. However it’s a battle i constantly fight myself with but I no paper or person wi…

Wow, you did the right thing and should be proud of yourself. It’s a hard pill to swallow when people’s actions begin to tell us who they really are. Keep showing up for yourself and your kids. That kind of distraction isn’t worth entertaining . Stay focused

Sorry to hear bro. But it’s a hard pill to swallow. Reality we don’t wish to be a part of. But sit with your emotions be there for yourself. You have yourself to hold on too.

The past did matter a lot. And it’s good to acknowledge them when they rise but I can’t be sitting in that space for to long since I’m still healing and it’s very recent. BUT YESS! New rituals and traditions with the myself is how I am begin to see it so thank you for that reminder 🙏 also getting to know myself more in my 30 is like whoa okay i really get to start this time of my life kinda on a blank page in a book.

Thank you for sharing because you’re definitely not alone. In the obvious sense that we can relate. Thank you for being vulnerable to this group. May you boogie to heal.

For me therapy is about giving ourselves grace. We are taught to give it to others. However in the long run, that’s damaging to our mental state. One advice???? Learn to let go, things will come together in it’s a power struggle because it’s our lives however, the only power we have is how we process things and that in itself is more than enough.
