Yeah, many people laugh at that opinion. I do. Same way I'm laughing at this thread. The majority of people agree on "muh preferences." If you seek out the people who feel like men need to be attracted to fat women, you're looking for rage bait. It's just a moot point just like this discussion. Some women don't want autistic guys, most men don't want fat people. Agree to agree.

Yeah that makes sense. You're allowed to spotlight men for this conversation. None taken

This is like saying "not dating fat women is fatphobic." Everyone laughs in your face if you say that. How is this literally any different?

I mean, you could have just said "saying anyone who does [neurodivergent thing] has a bad personality is ableist". This isn't gendered. Is it ableist to say a woman who doesn't look you in the eyes has a bad personality? I could name ten traits I had to more or less beat out of myself because my mom would mock me for "making her look bad" or "seeming autistic" in front of her friends. Yeah, right? I think I've gotten harsher treatment about those things from my mom than I had if I had been a mal…

Sure. I don’t deny that. RP is not welcome to talk about in a bunch of spaces. Probably most I don’t have in front of me ATM what you’re replying to, but pretty sure I limited my claim to just here, PPD, a place I feel is one of the few RP ideology is welcome. But people like to misunderstand each other here too and downvote stuff they don’t like even it’s quite reasonable
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 09:17 PM

Is other inflammatory discourse accepted though? I don’t see inflammatory BP stuff that doesn’t get censored Furthermore, can’t it be that inflammatory BP content simply isn’t reported as often as RP? That wouldn’t be a difference in rate of censorship but reporting. I’m all for censoring inflammatory BP comments. But someone has to report, it’s not going away on its own And fine, TRP is clearly censored in some populations (ie by the general Reddit population) but jury is still out on it being …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 01:13 PM

Nah I’m into dominance stuff and would only be turned off it if I felt he weren’t actually enjoying it himself And if anything there are things that would only turn me on if he were my husband or LTR

The pity award on this is so funny
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 12:58 PM

Inflammatory is the exact word used in the rules to describe certain rule-breaking trolling behavior Probably the point of it being against the rules is it exists purely to elicit an emotional reaction, not to make a point. There are infinite particular ways in which a comment which espouses a RP opinion might simultaneously happen to break other rules. The same goes for BP content or anything else So until someone can point out one instance of RP content that was censored that didn’t also break…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 12:53 PM

☕️mine’s getting pretty cold out here
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 12:39 PM

What does this have to do with it being censored or not
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 05:09 AM

Can you point to examples of censored RP content that was not also violent/inflammatory in a way that broke those rules? Because if not, then you can’t isolate the RP part of the comment as the part that got the comment censored, and your point is moot
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/25 04:57 AM

For sure. Most of it is completely out of your control. You should be skilled in the art of letting a guy go. A lot of people would rather keep what they have even if it sucks

Yeah... I was being excessively charitable because I know what sub I'm on. It's a rawer deal for women. I'm pretty sure, at least. I think most men lack the worldview, and the capacity for empathy, to even entertain this possibility. Not that anecdotes are definitive evidence, but I don't know a single man who has been screwed over by a vindictive wife. OTOH Almost every woman I know has at best had to parent their husband/pick up their slack as fathers, and at the worst had their life ruined in…

If you shot your shot at a bombshell 10/10 and it didn't work out, would you feel like it's fair for all future girlfriends to hold over your head forever your crime of [checks notes] ....wanting someone else... at some earlier point? Before you even knew her? At a point in your life where for all you knew, she might as well have not existed? Hope so, because if not you're a hypocrite Chad gets the best treatment, and I get sub par Would you go work as hard to woo the 10/10 as you would the 5/10…

Ah thanks I'm just confused because I've been here for a while and still don't see a downvote, only up (just the one pill icon)? I only see both up and down on comments directly in my inbox. It doesn't matter, just a lil annoying that I can't match people's energy sometimes

Meta question about this sub How is that I am unable to downvote anything in this sub, but I still have negative votes on some comments? Do others have a downvote feature..?

Yeah, most men seem to want kids though. And it's not like it's never a gamble for women. My dad went off the rails when we were college-age, suddenly quitting his job and every subsequent job he got and blowing my parents' entire 401k on we still don't know exactly. Alcohol, luxury dating services, maybe drugs, just blew it all. We've never even known the full and exact extent of his addictions. She had to rebuild everything from nothing. She sold her house, downsized, continues to work and be …

ONE part of attraction. Not the whole. You dismiss the entire onus of them being attracted to them in the first place Yeah, I did dismiss that - because it has nothing to do with the point I'm making. Actually, it wasn't even relevant enough in the first place to be "dismissed"; I'm ignoring it outright. Because it has nothing to do with my point. The one thing I'm arguing here is that it is harder for a woman in a relationship already to be the most ideal woman her boyfriend can imagine, than i…

Thanks. I don't think you're wrong about anything here, so I think the difference is that in my comment I was thinking exclusively about dating, not marriage. Women do regain a substantial amount of power as soon as they cross the marriage threshold, and even more once there are kids With that said, maybe it's sensible for a man to always be looking for the most ideal woman even when seriously dating someone, because at least he's maximized his partner to the extent possible before they're enmes…

You can't say that women's standards are reflective AFTER they already self-select for the Apex of male beauty. That's just dumb and twists the narrative. Ah, but I didn't say her standards were reflective. I said her attraction is reflective. The degree to which the woman is attracted to the man depends a lot on how attracted he is to her, and how much he shows that. He is able to "score points" in idealness merely by demonstrating his commitment to her in a way that a woman is not able to; men…

if there's a more "ideal" guy in her life that she'd rather be with but she settled because for whatever reason the ideal guy is not currently an option. I'm going to suggest that this happens in men, and further that it's more of a worry for women that men do it. A large part of what women find attractive in men is reflective: once a man is above her minimum threshold for attractiveness, "the rest" comes down to how much he wants her and how committed he is to her; she's attracted to how attrac…

I think too in men it’s assumed that it’s not for lack of trying If a man’s unsuccessful it could be assumed he wants a wife and kids but doesn’t have it yet, not so for women. I’ve personally thought it was weird when straight guys I knew genuinely didn’t want kids. I think it bothered me primally even though I’m far off from even thinking of kids
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 07:39 AM

It’s not a lie, it’s the only event between things said by you and me that actually happened, and isn’t just your little confirmation bias fantasy. Because you lack any substantiation for your point, you just repeated the same argument I already refuted. “Imagine…” Boom, you already lost. I just cited a real anecdote where the opposite thing happened. As soon as you’re making me imagine, it’s clear you’re bullshitting. Maybe don’t mark your post “debate” if you can’t debate. 👍
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 05:29 PM

OPs like this never want to acknowledge people who are correct and properly engaging with the prompt, they just want to sidestep the question and indulge in fantasy worlds where their beliefs happen to be confirmed
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 05:25 PM

Remind me when Jim Crow for just men was?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 05:20 PM

A woman would 100% get sent to HR for saying that. Get out of your counterfactual fantasy land that just so happens to confirm all the things you believe. A female teacher at my high school was ousted from her job for sexual harassment, all comments made at male teachers. Meanwhile the male coaches/teachers who said creepy shit to 16 yr old students are still kicking, and remain people’s favorite faculty members. He gets away with it probably because he’s well liked, young and handsome, whereas …

Yeah, on the money. Also, debates here, both PP and reddit generally, so often follow the format of [Claim] "No, because [thing that may be true I guess, but doesn't refute the claim]" Then the claim-maker either gets baited into arguing an entirely different claim, or just goes back and forth with that person until someone taps out. The result is that most talk becomes not debate but "signaling" whether you're on blue team or red team. Nastiness ensues. The refrain I keep hearing in my head whe…

It's even more baffling considering most men here are not a day over 20 or 22 Like dude. You're a kid! What is your business positing your little theory about 27 year old women? They'll so confidently say stuff as if they're grizzled 45 year olds who have been through the wringer making up these stories where they have three crazy harpy ex wives... but they haven't, many are barely juniors in college! Get off this sub, it's not real life

Lol. You are arguing from your feelings in the face of the facts. Just pick better. Don't marry a conniving, amoral woman way under your social class with way less money than you and no means to support herself. Nobody is putting a gun to your head and making you marry women who would be dumb to marry. As any women who have so much as dated the less-than-perfect guy hear constantly, "pick better"

Ok. So again, nobody is gaslighting you. Feel free to use a word that's accurate next time. "Gaslight" means something very specific, and this is not it. Not "grammatically" either, just definitionally. Indeed, an inaccurate and clickbaity title

I was suggesting that you were using gaslight wrong - not grammatically, I just think this isn't the right word for what you're describing. I get what you're saying about TwoX being a general discussion sub, but I don't think that changes my argument much - what I'm saying is, some women like it and some don't, but it's highly doubtful that the women on TwoX saying they hate it are the same women who actually do like it. They're probably just different populations of women entirely, and TwoX is …

Imagine some women go on reddit and make a "women who hate dairy" subreddit. They lament there about dairy and how much they hate it - how bad it makes their digestion, how it gives them gas and makes their face break out. Let's say that, as it turns out, about 60% of the total American female population likes dairy. "I browsed the r/womenhatingdairy sub and keep seeing all these posts about women hating dairy. And yet, studies show that 60% of women in America like it. This is supported by all …

Clickbaity title that uses "gaslight" wrong? I would've guessed I was in twoXchromosomes... Seriously man, that sub shouldn't be your sample population for women. And if it must be, women talking to other women on an echo-chamber subreddit about x or y sexual topic can't really be understood as "women lying to you;" they're not even talking to you.

I know women who are "single" and have multiple situationships, You're comparing the most promiscuous chunk of women to the average man, and that's disingenuous. I'm willing to be the "true average" single woman is not fucking anyone. And if the average woman is having any occasional sex, it's certainly not with multiple at a time. Especially once the woman matures out of like the early 20s, enough to know that "hookups" never ever lead to a worthwhile relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 11:52 PM

Most of these comments to the contrary could be addressed by simply admitting that quite obviously OP means "sex is a need [for a fulfilling relationship and perhaps for a fulfilling life]", not "sex is a need [for staying alive]" Yes, most of us first encountered the concept of "need" in the second context, needs for life, but that doesn't mean it always means that

Arguably, it goes without saying that you should already being doing those things, or jumping on them immediately if you’ve reached adulthood without some basic social skills, and the ability to either look up how to dress well, or to ask someone trusted. None of this nulls OP’s argument. OP is saying that sometimes you should take action rather than tarry in an endless improvement arc. Not that you shouldn’t have basic interpersonal skills

Daily false dichotomy post There is a wide gulf between being redpilled and being on the path to lifelong pair with a single mother of 3 (is that gulf not exactly what "purplepill" is?) For most men, I imagine, not pairing with a single mother is just the commonsense choice, considering what they want out of a mate and their life In other words, you could be perfectly "bluepilled" and be unwilling to pair with a single mom - that doesn't make you redpilled, it just makes you not irrational
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/25 10:15 PM

I guess it's easier to vent and argue than it is to change real behavior, as irrational as that is
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/25 10:25 PM

Agreed This describes a lot of subreddits, actually. The average person would be surprised at the psychological toxicity that goes on in subreddits about like BoJack Horseman. The pissing contests, the unhealthy attachment to and defensiveness of actors. It's obviously of a different nature, but it's like, different but the same

When you say hold her accountable, what do you mean? People are tearing her apart, I think you know that already. She's a laughingstock and pity case. So I guess I'm confused what further "accountability" you want. Do you want a formal punishment or something? That's what's weird to me (and what suggests displaced anger) When I search the topic on my Twitter, 75% of what I see are jokes and memes, like a lot comparing with the new Cillian Murphy zombie character and something like "Lily on Guy 8…

Women think the men are gross and when asked think Lily Phillips is not responsible for her actions and is a victim of the men. You're strawmanning, that's how we make sense of it. Nobody is saying that she's not responsible for her actions. We know she decided to do this of her own volition, and in fact plans to do another stunt with 1000 men.
