| 1 | Quick question about DV statistics.They aren't. The numbers given above have been taken out of context. The statistic given on page 48 is that out of all men and women who experienced sexual violence, 86.1% of women and 83.6% of men who experienced sexual violence had experienced it from an intimate partner. By itself this statistic shows nothing other than the fact that a majority of sexual violence is committed by intimate partners. It says nothing about the actual rates of domestic violence itself.
