1/ Expose yourself to new people, experiences and ideas This will give you wisdom, network and probably new interests and passion for something in life 2/ Get competent at something that will give you money to sustain the life style that will emerge from 1/

I suspected this from reading TRP. But observing it in real life is very depressing. Women are so pragmatic. Being romantic is basically how I screwed up with my oneitis. I think she did see me as a potential partner from a pragmatic point of view. On the other hand, I just got tired of her prudent, careful approach with me. And instead of keeping the cool vibe going for a couple more weeks, I started getting frustrated and needy.

Not much so far except for Gym and some group activities I already had before. But they are scheduled after office hour obviously. It's been a month. Even considering getting a job but I'd like to travel first.

Fair enough. What the fuck's the point in having a professional network if you're not a working professional lol? You could be an artist, a freelancer, an entrepreneur, a landlord, and still your professional network could be useful. Hell, you could be doing nothing of your days and need one of them at some point. All networks are good, no? What kind of status are you exactly looking for I think there are two kinds of statuses I'm looking for: Something to tell people what you are doing in gener…

You win 2 million USD tomorrow. How does it change your lifestyle and image? And don't tell me "it WILL" like it's obvious. What is obvious to me is that you have your idea of how it will impact your life. And you assume that all people are like you. Which is kind of dumb. So explain.

What the fuck do you do with your time, sit around all day? It's been a month, and yes so far most of the time I would spent working is spent at home or at the gym. I have socializing group activities, but they typically happen after regular work hour for people to be able to attend. Socializing A job does not prevent you from socializing. I was socializing before, I'm still socializing now. Bu a job gives you a professional social status. Not only do you have a social status among your peer at …

Thanks for that comment. You assumed right. I come from lower middle class. I was never raised to show off and it might be part of what allowed me to be frugal and become financially independent. Now, I am not super wealthy, but I could definitely show off a bit with cloth, a nice car, a nice a watch, some fancy gadgets. I guess I will have to learn to enjoy these things, and be unapologetic about wearing them. But there's is another angle to the question. Other than women. You touched it a bit …

I love your message. For me AWALT is a way to remember that women think completely differently. It's also a way to remember that our gender is such a huge cause in the way we act. But I don't like the phrase behind the acronym: All Women Act Like That. It terribly lacks nuance for TRP newcomers. And it does push them into the anger phase without pointer as to how to exit it. Really, when you use AWALT, remember that AMALT (men version) is just as true. So if you expect a girl to cheat on your be…

My takeaway from TRP is this: -Reality instead of fantasy: Look at things for what they are. About women, but also social dynamics and power in general. -Make yourself your own priority -Commit to constant improvement: become a better version of yourself Many things flow from these pillars, and they flow differently for different people. There is some content I disagree with on the sub. But it seems to come from misguided commenters rather than the core TRP philosophy. Examples: You say "not all…

Everything they do is actually very brave just for the wrong reasons. No way these people are brave. Most of these people have nothing to lose. Not even their own life. They have either lost it all, never had anything, or being brainwashed into one or the other. Being brave requires overcoming fear. They are just not afraid to start with.

It's absurd that she would accuse you of sexual harassment. But really don't understand why you had to go and talk to her. Just do your stuff and let her stare at what she can't have. Going there and telling this stuff to her was... Girly, and kind of self conscious. And that's probably why she was shocked. She must have expected you would either just go about your business, or approach her if interested.

TRP isn't moral TRP is amoral. There's a difference. You seem to suggest that TRP can be used as an excuse to act immorally. No way. TRP is just tool.

I pick a few axis (5 max) I want to work on. Some are very specific, like walking with confidence. Others are more general, like holding frame. I put them in a spreadsheet, and I rate myself from -5 to 5 everyday. The goal is not to try to score 5 everyday. It's just to remember that these axis are my current focus and I should be working on them.

I don't understand the question. Are you asking "how to be a dad" in general? There must be thousand books on that. Or how to pass some some TRP wisdom to your daughter? I don't think there is any book on that.

Be consistent with your workouts. The discipline that helps you is not the kind that makes you work out like a beast until you puke on the floor, but the kind that makes you do your workout every scheduled day like clockwork for years on end. So true. I'll even push it further: make it a habit so that you don't need discipline that much anymore.

I am in my mid thirties, tall and skinny with some belly fat. Yeah, just like you. Full disclosure: I have tried a few times to get big, always failed. I'm on another attempt now. Been working out consistently for 9 month, I lost fat, gained just a little muscle. I only started to eat properly recently for a clean bulk. But that is not what I said. Sure you can discuss dominance, but what I'm specifically refering to is AF/BB. Then I agree. I assumed you meant dominance in general when you used the terms Alpha and Beta instead of AF/BB.

I agree that dominance is fluid. It's fluid in an individual (Good days, bad days, different periods of one's life). It's fluid in social situations. The point I was disagreeing with is that dominance is only relevant in the context of women.

You can either learn to not care, learn to take it as a joke and throw a lighthearted joke back, or quit. The worst thing would be to overreact with a salty comment. Like you did many time to the tough love replies here. It makes you look insecure.

The terms Alpha/Beta seem obsolete to me. If you're saying someone is alpha, what does it mean? Are you saying they have alpha personality traits? Are you saying their are alpha in a particular social context? Too confusing. When talking about personality, I think we should call people with descriptive adjectives: -Dominant VS submissive -Outspoken VS reserved -Confident VS insecure -etc When looking at a person within a social context, we should qualify their position: -Central VS marginal -Lea…

Yes and it's good, but... Any unresolved issues you have will resurface with the new social circle. Happened to me. It can be frustrating to see we have not evolved as much as we thought. The problem is your low self esteem. You took someone below you standards and are now trying to fix that person. This is extremely difficult and not worth the effort. Out of respect to both her and yourself, the best solution might be to break up. A year is still a short LTR. Drop her, and seek what you really want. And she might even understand its takes more on her side to get and keep a quality man.

I was telling you why black men seem more masculine to ME. I think you're mixing up a lot of things here anyway. Physical traits, attitude, politics and history. Also I'm not comfortable with having someone telling me I (white man) could go kill my black neighbor without any repercussion. It sounds extremely naive, to be polite.. So, I'm out.

For me the real takeaways from TRP are: A- Learn to look at the truth B- Improve as a man I'm no expecting to explicitly and directly learn the skills to get laid on TRP. But on the other hand, point A contains some truth about how women think and act. And it will certainly help you calibrate and get laid. And point B will increase your sexual market value and help you get laid too... Basically, there's a lot of overlap between what I consider core TRP goals, and getting laid - which explains wh…

I don't see black women as less feminine. I might have this stereotype about black guys being more masculine though. But I think it comes from hiphop culture, both in media and in real life. I grew up in a rough place and black guys tended to act ghetto.

I was the same at your age. I urge you to make weightlifting your second priority after school. And if does not work at first, don't give up. Lift, and eat accordingly (= a lot). You are at the best age to do this. Easier to build muscle when young. And more time to enjoy the results. Now about the second point: I make all the possible for people to like me This attitude is weak and will get you nowhere in life. Believe me, I tried. Read the book No More Mr Nice Guy.

Take it from a former geek who was a virgin until 25: Focus on yourself. Lift, learn, earn, dream, do, make. And if you really need it out of your system, use an independent escort. Sex never comes free anyway. Also about being ugly: Get muscular, build a masculine attitude, be successful. You'll be surprised.

I think I would try to put distance between me and her. It sounds like you were over-invested in her. Not only emotionally, but your place and job also depended on her. Try your luck elsewhere, make new friends, find a new job. Focus on yourself. It will hurt for a while but it will pass.

Don't do it only for revenge. Do it if it's useful to you, and not risky. I would also try to learn fighting him back socially. Not that this particular guy matters, but you would have learned something out of it.

Don't quit before you find something else. You are young and probably relatively inexperienced. Your value on the job market is probably not too high now. Unemployed people can have a harder time finding jobs and negotiating salary. If the job really bothers you, spend all your free time trying to get another one (either searching for one, or learning useful skills). Only quit if the job becomes really toxic for your mental health.

Have you read No more Mr. nice guy? You should. Learn to set your boundaries politely but firmly. In situations where there is no risk of physical violence, this will be enough and work wonder. There is a learning curve though. At first it will be extremely difficult to stand for yourself. And you will hate yourself for not having done so sometimes. But as long as you are actively trying to improve, this negative feeling is really easier to handle. Because you can always tell yourself "I'm aware…

Can't believe the negative answers here. Really crab mentality even here. Anyway, I think it's all about cardio. Doing HIIT kind of cardio has helped me with what you call "body stamina" and even getting harder erection. Doing 3 sessions of 20 minutes each week, where you alternate between 1/2 minutes of high intensity cardio, and then 2/3 minutes of lower intensity. Intensity is measure by heart BPM. Maybe you could have a trainer to start you off with HIIT.

A woman will never love you. She will only love her attraction to you and the way you make her feel. "She will only love her attraction to you" really sounds like a cheap way to rephrase female love to better disqualify it. This post is full of bad advice. With girlfriends - Stop expecting any kind of deeper spiritual connection, love, understanding, compassion.. or anything unconditional. most people care too much what others think and would benefit from moving towards the other end of the spectrum I agree with that. I just think it is extremely difficult to change a mindset using only your mind. I think the mindset will change based on a stimulus coming from outside. You wasting everybody's time by giving dumb useless answers in a community dedicated to helping each other and improvement. That's what's worse. Check the first reply to learn what a useful answer is.

I really like your link, thank you. A nice change from the usual "Lift". I do lift. But I'm not big yet, and even if I was, I would still want to learn other tools for these situations.

I actually did sit right next to them and have a conversation. When I left they said "have a nice evening".

Lifting is not the answer to everything. There are other tools.

Why does TRP has so many morons like you?

She will simply never meet a guy who is better than me in the combination of areas in which I excel. Statistical fact. That's delusional. And anyway she might just want another combination at some point.

that's a bitch mindset to have. i am the best she will ever have, period. This is a nice feeling to have but it's not real. And I thought TRP was abut being able to see the truth for what it is.

Please stand in front of the mirror, read out loud what you just wrote, and notice how it is a very appropriate reply to your own first comment.

100% moronic comment. This is a community for helping each other. If you have you life perfectly figured out and won't care to - at least act nice to people - then get the fuck out of here.

That's the exact same bullshit argument you gave before, and I already addressed it.

That one of the most stupid things to say. First because you have no idea what I did. And second, because people can react to training and diet very differently. Thanks for nothing Einstein.

Lean. Fat is really not worth it. I used to be skinny, then I got skinny fat after a bulk. Never again.

I think you did wrong. Not only is snooping something that seems Beta to me, but regardless of all this Red Pill/Blue Pill discussions, everybody has a right to privacy. You chose to intrude the space where she vents and complains. That's where she works out her frustration. You don't know if she really thinks half of these things. Now, one thing I will agree is that she should not be sharing this stuff with so many people, specially when you see them too. She should probably picking one trustfu…

Right, keep using and twisting the TRP terms to fit your agenda... And then pretend you got it. Learn to read dude. TRP is amoral.

Cheating is for women. Bullshit. It seems you like to feel superior to women and you despise cheating. So suddenly "cheating is for women". Don't push your personal morals on others. TRP is amoral. Also TRP is about seeing things as they are, not thinking you're superior to women. I'm not advocating cheating. I'm just saying that for my own reasons, I'm open to the idea. Then I ask a technical question. If you don't want to add to the conversation itself, you should probably not comment.

You assume she might find you boring. Is it because yo think you are boring? Your perception might be accurate or not, but this perception is all that matters. If you think you are boring, then do stuff that will make you change your mind about yourself. I think we are what we do. Reading TRP makes you think. It's good. But to change, you need to do. And by "do", I don't mean you need to score that HB10 right away. What I mean is that it is easier to change your mind by doing something, than jus…

I should also add that I still find your comment exaggerated. Women quietly tolerating cheating and pretending to not see it is one thing. But a girl letting you fool around for everyone to see is another. And even if it were to be kept in private, the only fact that both the guy and the girl know about the guy cheating would be a lot to handle for the girl. And if you don't want to call it "cheating", then it falls under the open relationship category, which I already mentioned earlier, and I d…

I'm not high SMV, but increasing. I have had this relationship going on for years with low to average SMV. Even I were to become high SMV, I don't see how the girlfriend could suddenly accept that I see other women.

No, the LTR does not know. After years of implicit exclusivity, it would be tough to suddenly tell her I want to bang other chicks. Not sure the relationship would survive. Still, having never had chicks on the side before, so I would be ready to consider that "lying will bite me in the ass". EDIT: I should add that although I want to keep the LTR going, I'm ready to lose it. Either way I don't want to hurt anybody more than necessary, so I see why you could advise brutal honesty.

Sounds a bit exaggerated. Unless you make it clear that you want to be in an open relationship, chicks will assume LTR=exclusivity, regardless of your SMV.

What kind of job do you have in Japan? I want to move there by every time I look it seems you need to speak Japanase, even for software developers (which I am).

I'm the same. I've got bad news: it does not get fix by itself. I'm 34 years old. It did improve, but I'm sure if I wrote a journal it would read like yours. Now I want to address the problem proactively because I realize how much space it takes in my life. I don't know exactly how it is going to work. I'm gathering any useful TRP info and making a list of things I want to change. Then I will work on a few items at a time, until they improve. Some of my items are the following: -Get a hobby. I'm…
