The problem is the system was never meant to be balanced once false allegations could be made, without evidence, "for the good of the child". Your absolutely right though, it's the kids that suffer. I could easily present dozens of studies that corroborate that. At this point it's a money grab for lawyers and wives, and a meat grinder for men.

Same thing happened when a close family member passed a long time ago. I felt like an absolute monster. Years later I finally felt the loss and was able to cry. There was certainly a disconnect because I didn't feel comfortable crying in front of people, and I was anxious and confused. It felt more like the absense of an object than the loss of a person. It doesn't make you any less of a person, everyone grieves in there own way, when they're ready.

It's a great idea, if I get out of this place I'll look into it. Thank you for your support. It means a lot. Edit: turns out I don't know how GoFundMe works.

Your right, I clearly stated I wasn't depressed. Terrified, yes, but not depressed.

No kidding. It's amusing that when your speaking to someone, and you just need to get something off your chest, the moment you even suggest anything personal people just clam up and uncomfortably disperse. And by amusing I just mean it's so expected and you can watch it happen.

I too have been accused of molesting my child. Her (ex spouse) timing was off though, and I already knew her game. However the purpose was clear, and has been repeated hundreds of times at this point. Make an accusation that cannot be disproved and turn it into a narrative. Believe that narrative as gospel and others will believe it too. She's setting herself up to win divorce. The trick for fighting that crap is realizing it's happening, and not buying into the accusations. Create your own real…

Ya man. I'm not even halfway through this fight and I have to give myself monstrous credit for surviving. You start to understand the unapologetic jokes made on the matter in media over the years, and it's a huge reminder that cosmic retribution and karma do not exist, and the only place righteousness exists is in our own souls.

That's... eerily spot on. It's kinda hilarious that a twice a day breathalyzer wasn't sufficient evidence either. Nor bank statements, audio recordings, or anything else that 100% proves they're full of it. Just gets twisted further into an oblivion of untraceable lies.

That's pretty much the play my ex is using right now. I tell you having the mental fortitude to get through those accusations changes you. Years ago I went through recovery from addiction, and those skills are what I've been using day in and day out. That and doctor Ramani on YouTube. Incredible advice for dealing with a narcissist. I mean it doesn't help anything except getting through it mentally, but 2 years later and I've lost ground because these people don't take a break and your already o…

Take the advice others have said, file first. My personal advice is if she makes an attempt to demonize you, have your story/evidence ready, and make the first move. Honestly, if she's abusive, file a restraining order. Even if it's not accepted, the allegation sets the stage for the rest of the divorce process.

I hear you loud and clear sir. Similar to my experience. She left me due to violent outbursts, emotional, financial and physical abuse, attempted murder, sexually abusing our child, and having at least 6 undiagnosed mental disorders. And ya, the truth is literally the opposite from everything I just said. Still in a long divorce process and because the child is still breastfeeding (it's the mothers choice to foster dependence), no one has blinked an eye.

Agreed, I avoided making that connection for that reason, but it's hard to see sometimes. Men and women are capable of lacking empathy and being master manipulators.

Man my exwife has/still is doing that shit. They take a tiny insignificant fact or oddity about you, and twist it into a huge narrative about how you're literally Satan. Really started pissing her off once I stopped sharing anything about myself. You need an insane amount of mental energy to keep up with the mental gymnastics of a narcissist.

It's funny that true strength is that you were able to ignore him and show vulnerability, while he did the opposite. I think that's the marker of a true man.

I challenged my now ex once to say one negative thing about herself, after her verbally flogging me for what felt like hours. She thought to herself real hard for a moment and I could hear the cogs turning. "I'm too nice" was her response. It's funny though. Our marriage only started failing when I stopped taking responsibility for everything that went wrong in her life. That's when the real manipulation started. What a narcissistic nightmare.

You don't know any of that. He's expressing remorse, and confessing, and devastated. Your judging him on your biased perception of cops, not on what he confessed to. You literally concocted this guy's history and future based on what? A dirty cop movie? I have news for you princess, not every cop is a militarized, narcissistic sociopath. He may be a douchebag, but yes, you are a judgemental piece of shit.

Thanks man, that's great advice. I'm sorry your going through something similar. On the best days it's funny in its ridiculousness, and on the worst it's a waking nightmare. A friend got me that book recently, so I'm glad you recommended it. Sounds like a good way to put things into perspective. Stay strong, friend, and I'll do likewise.

Yep, I'd assume the divorce courts have seen similar in other cases, and can see through some of the BS. As a side note, she literally told me she hired a PI to show how evil I was. I couldnt hold back laughing at that one. Gonna be the most ridiculous/boring case that PI has ever had!

I appreciate the sentiment, but until the divorce is finalized everything is in my name, and I can't interfere with the "family home" as per court order. I'd love to get some advice about just emptying my bank account so the mortgage defaults, but until I know the repercussions of that, it seems like a terrible idea. Though I just had a thought. Technically I could move back in, now that the protection order is over.

It's very hard for others to see what I do, and she only shows her true colours in front of me and my child, who is much to young to be able to process it or speak of it. I've gotten some evidence of the ridiculousness of her narrative, but to truly trap her it's an uphill battle. She's calm, cool and collected in her manipulations, and I've imagined her poisoning me without batting an eyelash. It's all extremely calculated and emotionless, but while appearing to display compassion and concern. …

Thanks, I needed to hear that. It's tough to put myself through the abuse but worth it for my child, and to be a stubborn prick who's not going to give up.

You can add in Canada. Lost everything to some lies told by my ex, with 0 proof and no police involvement. A year later and no one's heard my story yet and she's still living in the house I'm paying for.

It blows my mind how many men are going through divorce and give their wives the house and kids, like it's an expectation... I'm going through that, and my wife played really nasty and got everything through law enforcement means. I'll be damned if I'm going to let that go without a fight.

Not even just misguided, but manipulated, gaslighted, broken down, and having no idea that it was even happening. The insidious nature of narcissistic women makes it nearly impossible to see, and you think the only red flags are waving above your own head.

Without knowing your ex or you, I'm going to suggest you look up "projection". If being called a narcissist bothers you, and it sticks with you, chances are you are not a narcissist, but, making you feel like that is a common tactic of a narcissist. Again, don't know either of you, but sounds like she used the word for the sole purpose of hurting you.

Thank you for your reply. Im glad you mentioned about the working for you thing. I couldn't understand and made it known to him why it felt that I was paying someone to work for me, yet I was the only doing the work. On top of that this is a life changing event for clients, you'd assume there would be stricter standards on how they are treated.

I had a very short amount of time to find a lawyer, so my options were limited, and I hadn't dealt with a lawyer personally before. I still don't know if it was normal, but this guy got me a 4 way meeting with my spouse and his lawyer, promised a draft for a seperation contract on 4 seperate dates over 2 months. I asked him to send what he had completed on the contract, he did not. He lied and ignored my questions, he didn't take notes during the 4 way meeting (he said he was recording it, he wa…

The whole argument is silly, and It made me giggle writing it. If we based our current society on why we developed certain mental and physical aspects of our nature, including our selfishness, our bloodthirsty nature, our mental wiring for hunting and gathering, and our universal craving to bang anything animate (or inanimate), then we certainly wouldn't be enjoying the luxuries we enjoy today, would we? I mean if that's your thing, fine, but I think the majority of people would agree that kind …

That's a great idea! Let's change our laws to reflect a single woman being gang raped by a line of progressively stronger men! While we're at it, let's also change some laws to reflect a sultan banging his eight thousand brides while the less fortunate men fight over fish heads in the gutter!

As a recovering addict, I can tell you the most profound thing I've heard in regards to this. It was from an interview with a reporter and recovering addict. She said "I would have done anything for my kids. I would have died for them. But I would have chose alcohol over them". Unfortunately not a whole lot you can do except support her. The only one that can chose recovery is the addict, and no amount of advice or pushing will change that.

Best tip I can offer, is no matter how badly she fucks with you, don't respond with any emotion whatsoever. She is going to continue to create and follow her false narrative, and try to elicit a reaction to make you look like a bad guy. And the usual, covertly get representation, record everything, gather evidence. Legally go on the offensive first (for cruelty). Source: me too

Buddy I can relate. I find focusing on the evil shit she did helps. She is not the person you've constructed in your mind, she is the selfish, narcissistic person that is capable of pure evil. Mine spent 6 years wittling down my self esteem bit by bit, playing victim and abusing me physically and mentally. She had me convinced that I was the cause of all our problems and I had a boatload on mental issues. Turns out any issues I had were because of her. It dawned on me the more I "fixed" about my…

Your marriage is not special. Your wife is capable of all the malice and hatred that you read about. If someone doesn't like you for you, and doesn't accept you no matter how much you "fix" yourself, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. At the beginning of any relationship, start keeping documents and receipts. Write everything down. Keep a journal. Take pictures. Never EVER get a joint bank account. If you do for convienience, use it for shared expenses only. Keep personal expenses and p…
