2	fair fight Maybe the people who talk about height as a requirement for dating, both those who are for and rabidly against it, are louder than average. Or it could be a matter of self-selecting of the kinds of people one hangs around. As someone who has been a fairly sociable nerd my whole life, I don't have the means or motive to hang around Mean Girls or incels. 0	fair fight It's incredibly shallow in my opinion. It's possible that I'm just subconsciously butthurt about being 5'10" but I don't think so. I've never been rejected due to height and I'm a pretty cold fish at this point so I don't have a dog in the race. Everyone is allowed to have whatever standards they want, but some standards are obviously distasteful for various reasons. Like "[insert ethnicity here] only".
