I’ll elaborate. NYC is THE best city for being a single guy (caveat is you have to be at least decently successful in your career, or well connected). Girls love status. Coming to Reddit for this question was a mistake. Most guys on here can probably count the number of girls they’ve slept with on one hand (I used to be one of them). Came here to say this. I'm a people pleaser and it's the strongest part of my game. People like me and enjoy being around me and this positive energy shows. Friends (both guys and girls) will literally go far out of their way to hook me up with their friends. Confidence is key though when push comes to shove with girls though, you have to show that they need to earn your attention on some level.

If you're out of town on business or travel, then no. If the DJ or performer is someone you wanted to see, then no. If you are out at a standard club on a Friday night with a no name DJ then it is 100% low value. How do you not have a single friend that wants to go out with you on the weekend? It just communicates social isolation. You can come back from it, but it's a poor start to the beginning of any conversation.

Fair point, but we were also moving to different cities in a month's time, so we both knew it would end eventually. I think my clinginess during those texts was enough of a turn off to make her cut it off a little early.

The 2nd bullet really fucked me over with a recent chick. We had a great thing going for 3 weeks, then she went away for the weekend and I tried to send her a text each day she was gone, all went unanswered. Should have just waited a few days for her to respond. Great post.

Advice: Just get laid as soon as possible. Getting your V-Card out of the way will allow you to be more comfortable with future hook ups. Sure it's nice to lose it to someone you care about in Notebook-esque fashion, but chances are it's not going to last anyway.
