I don't think that's what OP was talking about.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait until it's one woman suing to have her husband released from payments to his ex before anyone would care.

People used to say that shit to the victim when a man beat his wife. The irony is lost on almost everyone that it's just moved over to the other side.

No, it's saying if you've got armor and a sword and they have a stick, you should show restraint. They can't fight fair. Period. You can't use full force against a woman. It's unethical.

He went from standing there like a punching bag to lifting her up and throwing her. There is a place in between where he grabs her wrist and doesn't let go until she promises to stop acting childish.

So because men are stronger, therefore they have a right to abuse the power? You're twisted AF my man.

He went way overboard, though. Like, he was never in any real danger from her. That's the irony. The double standard is based on genetic inequality of size and strength, which obviously are related to lots of kinds of work and, indeed, cognitive processing.

Let's see, how do weak women get people to help them with stuff? A) playing helpless B) playing victim C) trading affection/connection(s) D) trading sexual validation Which of these options are available, ideologically, to feminists?

If it is so simple, it should be easy for you to explicate.

And nobody pays any attention to a normal looking woman. See the pain of each to understand fully how it affects both.

Humility of what? There are many matters on which many women routinely defer. It can even become burdensome for a lot of men to make all the decisions. Perhaps you have had a biased selection somehow? I know many very proud and many deeply lacking in confidence. Both can be a burden, but both exist in men and in women.

Indeed. And yet, there is a distinction. Women are pressured by society to display their bodies for all to judge. Men are shamed for revealing more than their ankles, wrists, necks, and faces. Thus even very fit male celebrities who made their fame through appearance hide their bodies in a suit at a formal ceremony. Their dates wear practically nothing at all. These are the same and opposite, and each is shamed a different way. If but we could both see each other's plight.

Well, granted this woman is pretty blatantly idiotic, (or just knows how to get likes from idiots), but I've never seen this argument before. It seems pretty fringe. Now, that isn't to say that the fringe isn't being glorified by many of the more mainstream members, especially lately, but I do think that there is a great diversity among feminists as to what they think is important and for what reasons. As with any movement, there's really just a loose collection of fairly affiliated beliefs, as …

As long as you put a weird thing like "as white lives" on the end then it suddenly is okay.

Look up "Creepy Joe Biden Careless Whisper" and see what your own investigation of congressional swearing-in ceremonies reveals to you about Joe Biden. See how he behaves on national television, imagine what he might do differently in private when the girls' parents and 100 reporters aren't watching him.

I don't doubt that that is true, and yet I hold out for data.

I meant what if men are getting a larger share of the "any gender" one such that "any gender + man only " = "women only + any gender." That is to say, if "any gender" in actual practice biases toward men, then extra "women only" scholarships would actually be balancing it. That information is not included in this article, and I have my prejudiced idea about what the data would look like, but I would rather see what it does look like.

How about total scholarship money received by sex? I easily mostly accept what this headline implies, but what if when you add it all up, scholarships come out about equal between sexes?

I guess. Maybe she doesn't even have an excuse. Maybe she didn't want to cheat, maybe she only wanted to see him killed.

What a woman says when she wants to cheat on John but still feels a little bad about it, because of how it would reflect on her character.

But Black men are killed at a rate of 20 per Black woman, so unless there are x20 more protests started by Black men's deaths, it would show overrepresentation. Even Black women get more sympathy than Black men.

I get what you're saying, and I agree, but also I get what he's saying. Feminists show up to attack a man when he speaks up for men. He wants something to defend himself.

Yeah, that's pretty much par for the course. If you're in it for glory, obviously not for you. If you're in it because you won't stand for the injustice, then it's one of many hills to die on.

I wouldn't worry too much. At the end of the day, men are a lot stronger, and an extremely unjust matriarchy would easily be physically destroyed by literal manpower in a way that oppressed women simply could never pull off. Whereas feminists rely on men to give up their own power, men can simply take our power back from them whenever we choose. If things get bad like you're concerned, men will not take it lying down.

I'm going to lose a lot of karma for this, but it has to be said. Gentlemen, understand that these women are speaking ironically because of how their own women's shows/magazines/websites/podcasts/advertising talk about female actresses who have gained a slight amount of weight and still look great. If you don't really look at the kind of garbage that women tend to look at, you won't be aware of how ridiculous the beauty standards are for women... as established by women, though, of course. If yo…

Depends on what you mean by "worked well," I guess. It worked well for me, personally. I typed out the words "Men's Lives Matter" and I was amazed at how shocking they felt. It was not until I felt that shock, and thought about its deep implications, that I realized it has come time for me to come out publicly in favor of Men's Rights. It was this slogan that convinced me to write and publish this piece, for which I know I will lose a lot of social capital with my friends. I don't think that thi…

Point taken. I feel like that ship has sailed, with all lives matter, blue lives matter, and many other copycats. If all of those copycats are allowed to hijack the logo in direct opposition to the original movement, why not one that actually basically includes and expands upon the logo instead? It's not a separate issue. The police kill black MEN at a rate of about 20:1. Focusing on an end to violence against men generally would solve violence against black men specifically as a centerpiece. I …

Thankfully, there are only like a couple thousand seriously depressed women in that sub, so I think it's safe to say that they are basically just insane and we can pretend they don't exist.
