That's pretty much it, the only problem that I see in the west it seems like that hatred towards men is seen as more justified than hatred towards women which is seen as inherently sexist. Although I myself would argue that all hatred towards any group comes from trauma and should be approached as such and shouldn't be met with responses like : "you're wrong for feeling that way" or "you're misandryst/misogynistic"

i would personally choose the 40 y/o mother in her 20 y/o daughters body, purely because she would be a lot more mature and overall more interesting as an person. I can't even imagine what men past 30-40 y/o would find interesting in an 20 y/o woman or a man for that matter, you have little to nothing in common, they are basically kids in comparison to you with no life experience and their ideas, beliefs change every other month.

To be fair, i would be more interested in an study that shows how many men actually have raped someone or attempted to do so, unfortunately that kind of study is almost impossible to do.

I rather choose a bear than someone with a gun, especially if they are willing to kill somebody because they felt threatened, even more so if they believe it's morally okay to falsely accuse someone, with all that added together a person like that is way more dangerous than your average woman or man and the likeliness of getting killed is way higher than if you met some random woman, man or a bear for that matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 05:48 AM

Statistically everybody should be choosing a bear if they are alone in the woods, no matter if the other choice was a woman or a man, since both are statistically more likely to harm you than a bear. Honestly i believe this little tiktok trend should be finally put to sleep, since it's more so meant as an rage bait than useful tool for discussion. So far all i've seen is sexists of both genders using this as ammunition to spread their own hatred of the opposite gender than to actually discuss an…

That's definitely true, but overall homosexuality even among women was fairly widespread among all levels of society, although there was more stigma around it.

Wait since when are asexuals, gay people or just someone unattractive inherently misogynistic?

Although you're just showing an example of an unhealthy generalization, from this subreddit alone (even more so when you include other gender related subs ) you can easily conclude that men and women are just as shitty as each other when it comes to sexism, huge generalizations, but unfortunately way too many people indulge in such behavior.

To be fair, i wouldn't really call Aristotle gay, since he was had lovers of both sexes and the way ancient Greeks viewed sexuality was fundamentally different from the way we do nowadays. You're still right, but i personally would be reluctant to call someone like Aristotle or any ancient greek for that matter gay, bi, straight going by modern standards and the baggage that follows them.

The questions was great, but i will admit that the ''whole bear or black man'' part was unnecessary and didn't show this sub in the best light. Also if i was you i wouldn't pay much mind to subreddits like r/BlatantMisogyny or similar ones, the people in the comments of the posts there are often just as toxic as the people they make the posts about.

Either people realize that sexism of all forms is bad, that includes sexism towards men which isn't talked about much if at all. Or not much will change and people will continue to fight over which gender is ''better'' and continue spreading unhealthy and extremely toxic, sexist beliefs about the opposite gender which will result in overall more unhappiness, loneliness for men, women, etc.

Just don't respond to them, there isn't much to be gained from that discussion for you and them, since they are already set in their ways and won't revaluate their opinions beliefs when it comes to this discussion. The people who are happy with generalizing half of the population because of an extremely small minority are probably not worth listening to. ( this also goes for men who generalize women ) The biggest problem i see with people who chose the bear in that scenario and using the reasoni…

Realistically everybody who can't find a partner should be held accountable, if you can't find a partner that's on you and only you, it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. It's neither men are the problem nor women are the problem, it's you as an individual who is the problem.

Agreeing that both sides have struggles would require empathy and would require them to actually truly hear out and listen to the opposite gender without involving their misogynistic/misandrist opinions.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/24 10:22 PM

People on the internet in general are hateful, on Reddit alone every other day there are 5-10 posts about how men or men are terrible and are the scum of the earth, comments usually are no better and are filled with sexism be it misandry or misogyny. There isn't an emergence of men hating women on social media, There is an emergence of people just hating the opposite gender or people who are different from them in general. Some people have one bad experience with the opposite gender or any group…

Honestly i think both men and women have hard time understanding each other because they simply don't want to, it's way easier to live in your own bubble than actually have your unhealthy views of the opposite gender challenged.

I personally don't think most men or women for that matter really struggle with the opposite gender being selective or having preferences, i think at most people have a problem with people saying their preference out loud to the group of people that don't fit their preference( usually with ill intent) why certain men or women are not their ''type'', for example often men have issue with women saying they are not tall or wealthy enough and often women have issue with men saying that their weight …

In my opinion both men and women can be fairly picky, especially as individuals, but as groups men and women simply just look and are picky in different ways. I know that on this subs and different subs that talk about gender relations people like to point fingers at the opposite gender and call out their ''hypocrisies'' yet never talk about their own.

What counts as "low quality" is fairly subjective, but i would still agree that just like with most things there are just as many low quality men as there are women and vice versa.

Heterosexuality isn't inferior or superior than any other sexual orientation, people are just more hateful towards others ( especially the opposite gender )than ever. People love to call out others for their mistakes and issues, yet struggle seeing their own or simply don't care enough to address them and not to mention acting like a victim is fairly encouraged nowadays. Also nowadays people see everything as an gender, race etc. related issue and not simply as people issue and therefore this cr…

It's just hurt people hurting others all around, be it a man, woman etc. Unfortunately this seems to be a problem for people in general, especially when it comes to the opposite gender both men and women often take any criticism towards their gender personally or even take it personally when somebody is talking about an individual who has nothing to do with them. It also seems like some people ( be it a woman, a man, etc ) are ready to defend someone only because they're of the same gender, even…

Anyone really going their own way won't be on the internet yapping about ''going their own way'' and will just do it and move on with their lives. Also often individuals who follow be it MGTOW or FEMTOW seem to hold sexist and often toxic views of the opposite gender, with these kinds of people it's always ''men are horrible'' or ''women are horrible''.

Unfortunately it's kind of hard for feminism, at least right now, to advocate for men's issues since men are largely considered the ''oppressors''. Also as it stands right now, people aren't really that ready or even willing to realistically look at men's issues and take them seriously without weird biases and preconceived notions about men. Although you can point out that there is talk about ''male loneliness epidemic'' ( which realistically is just people loneliness epidemic), but it's largely…

It's definitely a thing, they probably aren't as many passport sisters as passport bros, but they still exist and will probably become more popular in the next few years and also the women doing it don't flaunt it around. Also just like with passport bros and normal men, passport sisters aren't as successful as women who just met their spouses abroad by accident and went abroad for different reasons outside of dating, sex tourism etc.

No. women are not really exploiting men by just being on dating apps. Maybe some women do ( at most 1-2%) to get free dates, drinks, food and other luxuries but those are just shitty people and don't represent women in general. Women simply get to be pickier because of the huge difference in ratio between men and women on dating apps which makes sense. If it was the other way around, men would be pickier too. When it comes to going overseas, again some men exploit poorer women ,but that's again …

Realistically men and women can easily imagine what the experiences is for the opposite gender or others in general by just hearing them out or reading their stories, struggles etc. People simply just don't do that that for various reason, which for one is extremely easy and even makes you feel better if you can assume that the opposite side doesn't have any struggles and therefore you can feel entitled to belittle them, make their struggles, experiences meaningless etc. Men and women often don'…

Men and women are pretty much the same when it comes preferences and fetishization of the race, gender, height etc. I like seeing people defending their ''side'' ,which in this case is gender, as if they were any different from the opposing side or anyone else in general. We're human and we have human flaws, we will continue to have preferences and we will continue to fetishize certain aspects of people we like. Is that inherently bad? - No, not really. As i previously pointed out men just like women often have high standards, the only thing that may change is what they seek in their ideal partner and that's about it. Some men now are crying about high standards, because now they actually need some emotional intelligence to get a women and can't get away with by being the sole breadwinner. There are others that cry about preferences like height yet there are bunch of 5'0 dude with amazing women.

Women often hate on mens preferences and men on womens preferences, most likely because some people feel attacked when they don't fit those preferences or feel like these preferences are unfair to them, but on the other hand feel offended when their preferences in others get called out or judged. In short people are hypocrites.

In come aspects we're pretty similar to each other, but that does not make up our personality or who we are as person. Therefore each of us is pretty unique, but unfortunately we often forget that and think people enjoy making generalizations when they want to speak about one group negatively. This is some somewhat true, but right know any talk about mens issues is labeled as mysogynistic, anti-feminist, incel sympathizing etc. Right now we're not really ready to approach mens issues with all the what aboutism and Us vs them attitudes going around. The difference between a woman being beaten up by her partner and her doing something voluntarily ( as she pointed out in her tiktok ) is pretty big, don't you think so? Plus unequal relationships are not unhealthy by themselves, the people in them can make them either healthy or unhealthy depending on how they act towards their partner and their personality , mindset etc. Most relationships in some sense are unequal, be it income, age etc.

Expressive means effectively conveying a feeling or thought, usuall with simple behaviours like crying, laughing, shouting etc. For example a more expressive person might cry while being sad, on the other hand a less expressive person might be sad, but simply won't convey it through crying or otherwise, but both of these people are equally sad. Conveying a feeling and doing something because of the feeling are two different things.

I think more education about consent would benefit men and women alike. The only problem around the subject of ''teaching consent'' is that we're aiming it solely at boys, men even though it should be thought to men and women - how to respect consent and how to actually make consent vocally and gesturally, since both of these things seem to be an issues for a lot of people from both genders especially when it comes to younger individuals.

Sorry but no, neither gender is more likely to cheat than the other. Likeliness of cheating is solely based on individuals values ,morals, overall mindset and upbringing. We can also add the environment and people around them which could impact the likeliness of them cheating, since unhealthy influences( like friends encouraging such behaviour ) may sway somebody to cheat even if they usually would not.

They might have tried in the past and realized it's not for them and therefor it's not that big of an deal. Plus if you value and care for your partner you won't force or demand your partner to do something they don't want to, this goes for both women and men, since this is a problem for both sides.

Honestly i think people are ready to overlook some red flags if there are more green flags and they feel genuinely attracted to them and their personality. Plus if we're being realistic most people have at least one red flag and not to mention what one person considers a red flag, somebody else might consider as an greed flag.

I'm from Latvia and here usually women and men are equally criticized for letting themselves go, this also depends in what ways they let themselves go. If a woman gets chubby after childbirth or with age etc. it's seen as unfortunate, but is not seen as that big of an deal and same goes for men if they slowly start getting a beer belly with age or because of health issues they usually don't get too much shit for it. On the other hand if a partner starts acting like an bum and becomes lazy both m…

I think it's great for men and women that we has less stigma when it comes to sex, masturbation and hookups, but it has resulted in an hookup culture which is a net negative for most people, since now people are scared of any kind of commitment to someone and often want their ''options open''. I imagine that there are even more cons ,than the ones i pointed out, to hookup culture especially for women.

It's definitely underreported and society also doesn't take sexual harassment against men seriously, since men can ''take it'' and any sexual harassment or violence against men is seen as less dangerous or harmful to them, therefore it's not seen as that big of an problem by the society. Also sexual harassment and violence in general is extremely underreported for both women and men.

AI gf's / bf's or just a friend will be a great for lonely people who truly are having problems finding a partner or friends, but it will still not replace actual human connections and most importantly touch. You will still be touch deprived even with an AI bf/gf. I personally think AI companions will be the best tool for Old people who are truly lonely, without family or otherwise and need someone to talk to.

I personally don't think men or women can really answer this without biases, because they simply can't fully imagine the experiences of the opposite gender and/or might downplay those experiences. Realistically both genders have to deal with equal amounts of conflicting expectations, the expectations might be different from one another, but that's about it. Also we should take into account the culture where you live, your race, your income class, the environment you're in and how you were raised…

I'm kind of lost for words here, since it's weird for you to use ''if you study psychology'', but yet you forget that femininity and masculinity are psychological as well as sociocultural constructs therefore they are subjects to change. Not to mention, people often use decades old methods to assess these concepts. The newer theories and approaches are better, but we still have a long way to go.

You can both be very masculine or feminine and still be super compatible, It's not like the levels of masculinity and femininity are the only factors that make a relationship successful and the partners compatible. To be fair, most men who pay for dates don't expect anything in return and those who do will still expect something even if the bill is split, so splitting the bill for that particular problem is not the solution.

Unfortunately that's just how dating culture has evolved, because of various reasons. Although i should say that this is slowly becoming less of an expectation nowadays, which is nice since when you do pay for your date women appreciate that a lot more.

The title of the post is great - men ( and women )shouldn't waste their time on women or people in general who don't appreciate them. But everything else in this post is pretty worthless info. On your 1st date you can really only show appreciation outside of words of affirmation, compliments, dressing up nicely etc. etc. OP should have probably included what they meant by appreciation and what they want it to look like.

This probably depends on what the other person is seeking, there are definitely women who see virginity in men as an red flag, but on the other hand there are women who don't care or even see it as an good thing. Plus this also changes depending on where you live and the culture around sex there.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/23 01:05 PM

Well to be fair there is definitely pushback already against any Men's rights groups, for various reasons. The ''us vs them'' mentality is such cancer and probably the cause for most issues nowadays, you can't speak about any issue without getting replies such as - but what about us and our problems. Imo both statements are a bit over the top, most men don't stare at others and most women don't distract others on purpose. Every relationship is different, sometimes the woman is the problem and sometimes the man and other times both of them are the problem. I highly doubt that inherently one gender is more violent or abusive than the other when it comes to intimate partner violence, since there are equally as many abusers and just shitty people in general on both sides of the spectrum. To be honest, most men don't just do everything to impress women. You can't really achieve anything if your only goal is to impress a women since that's a pretty weak motivator. Passion, life goals, interest in a subject and just the need to survive is a much bigger motivator for working long hours, selecting harder college courses, picking tougher more high paying jobs. I highly doubt most FA black women even fit your description. Most FAW in general just like most forever alone men are quite shy, quiet and introverted and possibly look below average. FA people in general seem to be dealing with similar issues no matter the gender. I don't even know why you're assuming that they're not trying to be more feminine or girly, i've seen some posts by FA black women and some of them try their best to do so and still fail to find a partner for various reasons, just li…

I personally don't care that much about virginity, but a huge body count might be a red flag depending how old the individual is.

The femcel posts i've seen don't really hate on men and are just as sad, lonely as any incel out there. The core issue for femcels and incels is the same, they are usually unattractive by societies standards and can't find a partner. I think these communities should bridge the gap between incels, femcels and any other ''cel'' community, since you're facing the same core issues. There are also incels who belittle and have nothing nice to say to others, so it's not really a gender specific thing.

Probably continue living, although a fruitful, long term relationship can be deeply meaningful and can enrich your life, there are still other ways to attain happiness and meaning in life.

Don't really see the point of hating women as a group or anyone in general. Rather hate or/and try to change societal norms when it comes to gender relations, standards, expectations etc. Edit : I know this is an extremely radical point of view.

i''m 21 now, i'm below average now and was considered quite below average looking as a child so not much changed for me. Although some people have major glowups in their late teens, even if they were ugly or below average looking in their early teens.

well to be honest a decent amount of ugly teens experience a glow-up later in life. Some of my friends and classmates who were arguably ugly or just considered below average are pretty handsome / beautiful now. So there is always hope for teens, young adults.

Probably, if social norms and expectations wont radically change for men and women.

This might not be true, but i have a feeling that a decent amount of guys here don't really want relationships with the average or below average girls with their interests, which in the long term would be a lot more fulfilling than a relationship with a hot ''Stacie'', they mostly care about looks and the sexual aspect of the relationship, but again that's probably only a fraction of the guys here...hopefully.

In my opinion, people find it much easier to blame the other side rather than take some accountability for their actions or lack of action, which seems to be a problem for most people, no matter the gender. On this sub specifically there is just lack of understanding, lack of any kind of empathy for the other side and a lot of anger when it comes to gender relations, this seems to be a problem for both men and women here.

I actually find this quite sad, but not surprising. Blue pill and mainstream in general is demonizing or discarding the issues men and some women incels, femcels face, so it is not surprising that these individuals will gravitate towards the communities who recognize, discuss the issues they face as a community and as individuals.

I'm pretty sure this sub has toxicity problem in general...unfortunately.

Yes, but in my opinion everyone does this when it comes to unattractive people, the gender doesn't really matter in this case. Some people have hybristophilia, especially when it comes to murderers or/and they are ''fixers'', these people believe that they are the only ones who can fix and help these certain criminals, murderers etc.

I'm happy to hear that you've had some success in the dating market. It is a shame that being overweight makes men invisible.

I've noticed that too, irl and on here. I'm not surprised by it though, since it is easier to blame the other side rather than taking some responsibility over their situation. It seems to be even harder to come to some kind of compromise and as you said give and take equal control over their gender.

any particular studies? You don't have to link them if you don't want, you can just give the gist of it.

yeah dating definitely does seem to be about looks and a lot less about the individuals personality, i wonder if it gets better the older you get since looks fade, but your personality and achievements continue to develop and grow.

Not to be too radical, but in my opinion all incel groups have it equally hard. Maybe the struggles are different, but the core problem is the same. I can see why you might feel like being a lesbian incel is harder since your dating pool is a lot smaller than incels or heterosexual femcels.

As a partner - companionship, love, affection, etc. As a friend or just a colleague, peer - different perspective, advice etc.

As i said previously that only some guys have these standards and mindset. Most ( at least i hope) go for their match or lower or a bit higher.

Yeah i get that, i also might be romanticizing the whole thing a bit too much. However i think courting is about finding the balance of doing enough, not too much and not too little, to spark the interest of the other side.

From what i've heard from people around me, random chats with strangers and from what i've seen here on reddit, some of these guys say it's a deal breaker if the girl doesn't have perfect skin ( no acne, imperfections etc. ) while these dudes do 0 skincare or basic hygiene themselves or if the girl isn't skinny / fit with good curves, while they are on the chubby side themselves, these are just some examples. It is okay and even good to have standards, but at least have some standards for yourse…

Yeah it's pretty unfair, but i imagine if you actually liked the girl you are courting, you wouldn't mind or care how much effort the previous guy put in, you would just try your best.
/r/AllPillDebate03/10/23 01:07 AM

Definitely true, but i would like to mention that a lot of average/below average guys have pretty high standards for women. It's an issue for most people nowadays, we have very distorted idea how the average guy and girl should look. I would personally blame media :D, but it is what it is.

Someone caring for your safety for you isn't limiting your freedom, since you can always ignore the comment and still do it, but of course people often hear what they want to hear, so people caring for you might sound patronising.
