Yeah, she did say she was a bit blindsided. If you google $1000 engagement rings funny how nothing like this pops up. Even the people saying $200...nah. You could easily find a gold band with a stone this tiny for $50 or less. It's a notch above a ring pop (I guess?) but still... very poor omen of the life that awaits her.
