My girlfriend's ex just told her today that he's not a babysitting service. Mainly because he has his parents watch the kids while he works from home in IT, which means a lot of busy and a lot of downtime where he let's his mom take care of the kids.

My friend's dad was in an argument with a kid who owed him money for rent, a cop passed by when the kid said "I'll kill you old man", and the cop turned around and arrested the kid; despite my friend's dad's wishes.

I understand what cathrynvirginia was saying. I just think she is completely wrong. Not getting too drunk, not walking down dark alleys at night, and being aware of your surroundings is all excellent advice for everyone. Have you ever tried to physically restrain some one? There are 5 different flailing limbs to contend with, and if you are already on your back, it makes it that much more difficult. Also there is the stigma associated with hitting a woman. What if you knew the woman? Were good friends? Or worse, if it was your girlfriend or wife?

Most rapes occur between people who know each other. Could you hit your female friends? Girlfriend? Wife? Also since you have never been raped, and I am glad for that, saying that you would just stop her is not provable. Then there is the law aspect, you just committed assault, and will go to prison. And don't think that saying she was trying to rape you as a defense will work. Most people think like you, in that they think women can't rape men.

You cannot actually state that you would hit them unless you have been in that situation. It is the same as fighting another man. If you have never done it, then you don't know what will actually happen. Also, what if it was your best female friend? Girl friend? Wife? Could you still hit them? And then there is the law. If you hit them, then you are the aggressor, and will go to jail.

And what if it was your girlfriend or wife who was trying to rape you? Do you think you could hit them? Or what if you are confronted with a woman who says that she will say that you tried to rape her if you don't have sex with her? Also the psychological response to being assaulted is not necessarily just a fight or flight response. Sometimes…

The age of a child does not change the fact that, if consensual, she committed 4th (I believe) degree rape. Even if over the legal age of consent teachers, coaches, and a myriad of other occupations, cannot have a sexual relation with their charges. They are there to protect the students, athletes, etc. not to use their position of authority to get into their pants.

Kind of misleading. The man disrobed in the security line as a protest. The woman disrobed after being told to extinguish her cigarette, and asking for her boarding pass to be reprinted, where she was then TRANSPORTED to a hospital for evaluation. One was a protest and the other was just some loon of a woman, who obviously needs some medical help.
