Remember that movie about the entitled spoiled brat who purposefully tried to make someone annoyed to prove the point that everything should be the way they want it and everyone should share their opinion at all times, and the entitled spoiled brat came across as the hero at the end without changing their attitude or behavior? It's not a well-known movie.

My ex and I live in a state with Family laws probably dating back at least 60 years, all tailored from an era when men worked and "owned" everything, and women were just along for the ride. We separated amicably, until an incident occurred and I wanted to pursue custody. We were not legally married, but were together when our son was born, so by default, I have no established default custody whatsoever. We had an agreement in place for nearly two years before the incident in question, and all as…

I say punishment begets the crime. Put her in a diaper, then have someone come in a diddle her while filming, then send it to a random person. Couple of years of that and, well, she'll be batshit insane and not capable of re-integrating with society. Then throw her off a cliff.

I'm guessing they met in January 2020, he was probably 14 then. (the article includes his age now as 15 but they don't necessarily clarify in the title) 14 for 8th grade in January is not abnormal. Doesn't necessarily mean he was held back.

Fact is someone's fragile ego got exposed on the internet and you're defending it, probably because your ego is just as fragile.

So the message is it's ok to marginalize someone else as long as the person spouting the message you agree with isn't being marginalized? Kinda confused here. She has an opinion, other people have different opinion, her opinion deserves to be heard, but others' opinions are absurd if this woman feels threatened? Explain the logic behind that reasoning please.

Seems like a pretty fragile ego if someone gets this upset when they feel hypothetically threatened that 8 billion other people don't find them special. No one who runs on ego like that is ever as special as they feel they should be.

That was my point. She's generalizing all women to aggrandize herself.

Yeah, they seem more anti-women than anything. On the surface it seems like a normal thought process, until you realize she's only talking about herself and not other women.

911 will never tell you there's nothing that can be done, they don't have the authority to make that call. They are dispatch operators trained in some very basic things typically. If someone calls and says "My ex is harassing me" (what she did), they wouldn't ask "Do you share the home" they would just send a unit.

I am agreeing with random unknown entity on internet, too. It must be factual.

I'd say there's an equal number of men putting their hands on women in the 1950s, they just did it in the privacy of their own home. Also, women threw themselves down stairs far too often back then/s

Bad verbiage in this article. It wasn't something that it "taught itself". Someone had to teach it the difference between a "good" resume and a "bad" resume, otherwise how would it know how to flag one as such? The problem was that the majority of resumes flagged as "good" or which leaned more toward the positive on whatever scale the algorithm used were male resumes. If the category for 50+% of the degree major on "good" resumes is "Business" and your resume's degree major is not Business, your…

You're describing a perfect world where companies don't open up shop in low cost of living areas to exploit people who do the same quality and quantity of work but will accept lower pay by default. You're kidding yourself if you think someone in California makes as much as someone in Oklahoma doing the same job at the same quality. My post wasn't about the tenets or principles of anything, mine was concerning capitalism in practice - i e what actually exists in the real world. Your description i…

Sooooo...you think salaries don't already go to the lowest bidder? If you can do job (J) at 23 currency units over 3600 seconds (s), and I can do job (J) 28 currency units over 3600s, why on earth would anyone hire me over you? Paying the lowest bidder is exactly what happens in capitalist economies...it's why they are capitalist economies...anything else would be not capitalist.

Actually, you're not democratic if you're against the rules of the democracy. That's an anarchist. What you're saying is you wish people would do what you want to do so you can claim that's the true democracy. Which is lame, Steve...pretty lame, man. Don't hijack true democracy because you don't want to contribute to it.
